Were I a developer, I would be tempted to say, every time someone asks when it is coming out I will delay the release one more day.

I suppose that is why I am also not a developer! hehe
Whatever a developer says you multiply by 3.

1 week is actually 3!

(Trust me)
I had Claes on the phone yesterday. He confessed me that he underestimated the work load when he photoshoped the screens.
So does that mean I was right in thinking that the beta screens I've seen are different from the screens posted at the BW website?

I thought the website images showed a more polished UI, but I wasn't sure and didn't want to be a shit by asking (until now) :)

Anyways, I hope the developers are staying healthy and haven't burned out!

That quote was misinformation from somebody playing around. But the gui has changed since those screenshots went up.

I can't imagine it not being included at some point (and I really hope they feel the same way). Some of those features like expression changes would do wonders for scoring to video.

And I just realize I have a new question for any willing beta testers...

i hope no one minds... this is a fast moving thread...

But I was hoping someone can help with my question...

elxsound wrote:Recording scenes... Does this work similar to Live? An example that I rely upon in Live is being able to write in the BPM in each scene and record that as automation on the master tempo (when recording to Arrangement View).

Code: Select all

This is not a cat pic, so please use your imagination ;-)
- Interesting fact: Bitwig supports .flac directly.
I dropped a JFK speech from archive-org on the timeline and it just worked. Nice.

- Yeah, the scripting and mapping seems rather deep. So far I thought it would only be for very specific nerdy stuff, but now I learned it can also be used for all kinds of stuff like mapping Poly-AT to whatever you want and reacting to and sending sysex as well!
Interesting.
I guess we will see some rather wild stuff emerging from the scripting-community after the release!
I'll leave the specifics for after the release, but I think there is little that can't be done.
And it's even documented... ;-)

Cheers,

Tom

Great news Tom.

I've been looking for some info on flax. files because we have a bunch of older tracks here. :)

What a shame.

In the beginning I didn't know who bitwig was.

Then I got into the spirit of things.

I'm a happy Ableton user. Ableton is my musical wet dream. But hey, maybe bitwig was better.

Cats.

Free marketing.

Did someone complain oh KVR mods?

Did this offend someone's sensibilities?

I've personally seen nothing but good humour and good marketing in this thread.

Oh how you disappoint me KVR.

But it's all good.

I can't speak for anyone else, and I don't make myself very clear sometimes. And I don't have passive aggressive personality disorder, so let's get this right.

I'll make a point of not buying bitwig ever. Whenever it comes out. If it ever comes out. If it comes out for 20 dollars. I hope that doesn't seem passive aggressive to you.

It's called voting with your feet.

Don't really care about the cat pics being split off. It's just the logic sometimes round here.

I tell you what. I'll retract my little promise if hibidy gets a free copy of bitwig when it comes out. It's the least they can do. You do know he is a massive Ableton user don't you?

Fun?

bitwig, I don't need your software. I was going to buy it anyway. But I won't now. And that is a promise.

But hey, enjoy the lack of cats.

KVR. Fun fun fun.

Um, what? A KVR moderator moves the cats out of thread, so you're not going to buy Bitwig, but it's not about the cats? I'm sorry I can't make a shred of sense out of that. I didn't mind the cats, but is it so bad that some people just want to share info without interruptions? I don't want to make a big thing out of this and get even more off-track, but I know that somebody is going to say something about that, so I might as well.

That's what the saying "Don't feed the trolls" means. It means don't reply to people who aren't actually trying to say anything and just want attention. Ignoring people usually makes them bored and they go away.

Are you really trying to argue with my logic?
