Will google the difference between Jazz and precision-
since ur Ibby->
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/u_eb_p ... ies_id=116
and Washburn->
http://www.washburn.com/products/basses ... 24-t25.php

These weren't on your list, they are the 2 manufacturer's/luthier's basses that I have. I didn't fall in love with either's looks, but maybe u'd like to check them.

IMO-if someone bothered to write a long post-it might be worth a longish read

I'm not entirely sure to post this, as it's prolly shy of the mark-
but anyway, these are the 2 makes I have and they are both thick

--and I'm totally with you in regard to outgoings, thanks this week to my sister I have cider
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

about the 8-string-
the look of ibby is killer, they nailed the curves with RG

The automation on the pneumatic guitar isn't there,
I have a foggy idea of how to fret,
but atm it gives keys instead of a pluck
That's cool u like it man 8D
Demo is terrrible, I will make a cool one,
and same with my sounds on SoundCloud, they are unfinished.
I'm hoping I can resolve a whole bunch of music.

The "jazz" bass has a very particular and noticeable tone. It's specific. I have a beautiful 5 string with the lowest action this side of Victor Wooten. That covers 85% of my needs. I do have a fretless, I didn't pay that much for it. It's fun.

This bass is a marriage of simplicity and quality. I slapped some new strings on it and am impressed so far. I think the action can go a bit lower. Straightening the neck was a PITA (have to take the pickguard off  ) but it is purring along with minimal buzz.

Love the neck. Number one gripe on the squire is that glossed back.....yuck!

Still, I may be over the "gas" in a couple of weeks.......30 day to return.

Oh, and got a good deal. 24 month no interest and 150 bucks off (it was still expensive)

Bass has got to go back. I discovered a couple of flaws that I'm not willing to mess with.

Warmoth has a good deal on a lightweight short scale J-Bass body. That'll be easier on your hand and arm than a full scale length and a lightweight bass makes for a chimier tone:

Thanks. I've actually changed my mind on the bass again

I really need to check with this tech up in auburn and force it to be mine! It's a sweet bass. Really puts my squire to shame. HOPEFULLY, I can iron it out. Maybe I'll just have them swap it.

The back of the neck is PERFECT! It fits me like a glove. It's tight, and round sounding. I didn't think I'd like these pups but I was wrong. Did I already say that?

Anyways sorry if I'm repeating.

Good to hear the ups and downs Chris, I hope it is staying/can be sorted how you need it.

These look interesting and no doubt sound superb for the sort of some of stuff/style I play actually and a lot of others me thinks. It is a big claim to make nailing the best of each magnet https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/n ... juggernaut

Good to see you around, Dean.

BKP are the defacto pups over at SS. I often think about getting a set for the 921. They are pricey here in the states (don't know about your neck of the woods) but if they are the shit, then it would be worth it.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

^^^ I like that guitar.

Well, bummer. I had to take the bass back. I don't think I've had to return anything for a while now. This just wasn't right. But bummage is so many things WERE right. It sounded great. The back of the neck and the neck profile was PERFECT. But there was just no way to get it set up right. I think there was a hump in the neck, but my not-so-expert eyes couldn't tell for sure. And one other fatal flaw, it's designed for use only with tapered E strings. There was no way to get the E low enough.

Drag. I think I give up trying to get a "jazz" bass that is right (my ibby premium is set up so sweet......and it sounds really good with the "nordstrand" pups, but it's not a jazz)

I have about 2 weeks, give or take a day on my Carvin. I don't mind if they take until the 25th to ship though as that will push the money back until next visa cycle. Originally, I had though I'd get one tooth done but got both costing bukoo so it's going to be OUCHY when this bill comes. Bad timing but can't wait for the guitar!

That looks like it's from a builder local to Colorado Springs. Lucci music sells his stuff. Take a look at the Tele in this picture from their website: Image

The luthier is Montarado guitars: http://montarado.com/timberkaster.html
