No sounds to post yet, but the articles, especially from Richard Devine are great. I like Richard's simply because he provides exact examples (including parameter settings) in his replies. Very nice info.

Ya, Richard is a really awesome dude, and really went above and beyond on this interview. Incredibly in depth and rich with knowledge shared from a true wizard of sound! :!:

So if you downloaded before I sent out the email last night around 9:30 EST, i.e you don't see "b242" on the Info page of the GUI, you might like to re-download and re-run the installer...
Did you update to B2 242 in the Perfect Storm archive as well?

2 presets for B2

Bouncy (an echo effect, doubler, with different treatment of highs and lows)

Followed by Ghosts (special effect, works best on mid or high freq content)

Quick question.

On windows when importing presets, where do they get saved to?

Post

If you use 'import to my presets' they are saved in the user preset folder you set up when you installed.

Mine in on a special hard drive, so I can't give you the default position. I think it is in your documents folder.

From the manual:

"Presets are stored in ".../Users/*you*/My Documents/2C-Audio/B2/Presets/" by default. You may change this install path to any location you like including locations on non-system disks."

The user presets are in that folder under "...Full\User\My Presets"

PLEASE FIX ASAP!

Nothing to fix. Must be "operator error". :D

Did you follow the instructions here:

Using that order link and coupon code?

Please email our support email for such things. I don't think other people want to read about specific order issues? generally speaking there is nothing wrong the coupon code under normal circumstances. So I can only go on what I am seeing.

Maybe you have something other than the normal Aether in your order history?

I can't look you up based on looking for "kitekrazy". I need real names. So please email...

thanks.

also be sure not to cut/paste spaces in the coupon code.

Edit: yes - the order history is "atypical", let's resolve via email, as suggested.

Here are some experimental patches for B2 designed to elicit feedback effects.
They are not designed to be 'pretty', in fact they are rather ugly.
But you can tune these to some extent and perhaps get some interesting drones from percussive sounds.

Two variations on a feedback effect:

Here is a demo download for the B2 Preset Expansions:

http://2caudio.com/sitecontent/products ... s_Demo.zip

This contains 10 presets from each expansion for you to try out and explore. Use "Import Package" to copy the "B2 Exp Demo" package folder into your presets. Full instructions are included in the text file.

If you already have the new presets, no need to do this. It's only for people who don't have them, and would like some way to demo them and get a feel for the kind of thing they offer.

We will add these to the demo version of B2 as well.

Sometime later in the week I will make some comments about some of these presets to help explain the uses of the new B2 1.2.0 features.

...first I am off for a couple days on a short hiking trip...

Meanwhile maybe Den would like to share some of his thoughts and experiences on making presets for B2...?

Post

I have re-discovered B2 since the update and grow more impressed each day. The modulating reverbs & delays are just off the hook.

The track in my sig (Polaris) features 100% B2 reverb if you want to get a feel for the sound.
