All I'm saying is, I don't know when it will be released. It could be November 1st for all I know but I do know better than to say anything definitively. I shouldn't have even gotten involved in this aspect of the subject, there is no new/useful info to be had.

I will say that I'm having fun with BWS. When you get passed the clip view and such, it is quite different from Live. I haven't had time to do any benchmark tests or anything beyond checking basic usability... Do my audio interfaces work? Do my MIDI controllers work? Can I record multiple inputs? Can I setup monitor mixes and route to hardware FX? Can I label tracks and clips? That kind of stuff.

I have gotten close to completing a simple project in BWS. I want to do a little video showcasing controller stuff but I barely have time to do any testing let alone complete something.

I'm jealous of you. Like I said, I'm happy with my hosts so I really don't plan on getting it but I'm sure the beta team did/is doing just fine. Cat pics aside, it's been a LONG time. Nearly two years ago I was really interested in it......the ship has sailed for me, I think though that once it's released it's going to be a hit.

Here it is, page 52, posted September 30. That was the guy that originally posted the screenshot and got the ball rolling on this phase of the thread.
I don't think that means that BWS will definitely be released on November 1st. I think that means we will get a new build between now and November 1st, which will probably expire on Dececember 1st.
But don't take that as any kind of confidence in my ability to predict the release date.

As I've said before, it will be ready when it's ready.
I don't care about when it ships... I want to know what you think of it! You can talk now! Let's hear it!!

How long will this thread be the day bitwig is released ?

I bet on 156 pages.

If release is Nov 1st, we will be around 115 pages :D

Really would like to know the CPU usage of BW.

well after a week or so of trying bitwig, all i can say is positive things, i'm not a ableton user (i use cubase, but always wanted something that will suit live performances too, and i don't like ableton live at all), so BWS IS a daw for me.

well beta expires nov 1st for me, so i have only few weeks left to try it out, i will try and make a full tune with it, will probably learn a lot new things in it...because i only scratched the surface with it imo, maybe then i can answer few advanced questions for those that don't have beta access.

Oh, an optimist. We need more of those. :D

If they'd let the cats stay to play, I would have guessed 300+ fun-filled lolz pages interspersed with tantalizing beta tidbits and launch day buzzsaw killer kittez with midi controllers. *sigh* Now, we'll never know what could have been.

In the meantime...

Oh, I assumed that you guys were getting new builds all the time; I thought that was necessary to test if their fixes work or introduce new problems.

I prefer the cats to posts like that. Wow.

On topic:
I'm guessing performance is an issue. It's strange that non of the beta testers has actually stress tested it.

This thread is brilliant to study humanity.
Especially how the human mind is unable to deal with uncertainty.
As soon as there is no information about something, explanations for exactly that which isn't known emanate from out of blue air and are presented like facts.

I prefer cats as well, they simply signify that there is nothing significant to talk about really.
Harmless fun.

Carpe Diem :-)

But left in the typos!?

Seriously.
While you guys are posting cat pics and typing "lol" (without actually laughing our loud), I'll be continuing to prototype music in Synfire Pro so that whenever BWS comes out I'll already have tons of front loaded creativity and ideas.

Well.
Performance is key, and it's been asked about several times.
I know we're not entitled to answers, and any participation from beta testers are appreciated, but as far as I can see, there are very few significant questions answered.
