Some nights I sit in the living room and play with my Macbook Pro. I don't have my keyboard controller connected. The Caps lock keyboard is not very easy for me to use for real time note entry. I have an iPod. Would it be possible to use it for a controller? I have " http://www.itouchmidi.com/?q=node/4" and it works fine but due to my slow wifi connection works badly.
Is there a way to connect my iPod with a wire? So it is connected thru the USB port, and into my DAW?
Thanks.

I'm pretty certain that the first 4 won't connect directly to usb input (though you could get a 5pin din midi input for your mac)

Ha; good point BiancaNeve :dog:
Apologies Uncle808us;
I'm so used to having my iRig MIDI connected to my M-Audio Uno (MIDI to USB adapter) I forgot they're to separate pieces!
OK, well then, yes; the iConnect MIDI is a nice, compact, all-in-one solution.
Heck, I even own it too!
I think I need to get more sleep.
Nevertheless, perhaps you'll find one of the other options (given the possible need for an accompanying MIDI to USB adapter) on sale or something.
Hope you find a good solution!

Actually rereading the OP the Alesis won't work either as it's for IPAD not Ipod....

And I think the Tascam is discontinued......
