Just received a mail from iZotope that Nectar 2 is out. Not that I would want to get it, just saying...

If I worked with vocals a lot I would get it. I use loads of Izotope stuff.
Pigments Presets, Omnisphere Expansions, Dune, Serum, and Thorn Sound Packs. Diva, Zebra, TAL, and Repro Sound Banks. Massive discounts - https://NewLoops.com

I got nektar elements for next to nothing and the upgrade seems very res able.....I will certainly take a good look...I have a digitech hardware harmoniser/vocal strop - if this is any good it's another hardware sale for me....

Looks like iZotope has a nice grip on you guys and keeps making you spend on their products & updates! :P

I'd definitely like to hear some thoughts on it.

I got Nectar Elements, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not as if it does anything that I couldn't accomplish with several other plugs. However, it's pretty quick and easy to dial in a good sound.

I'm especially interested if their pitch correction/editing stands up to single-track Melodyne.

What's the upgrade price from Nectar Elements?

There are two upgrade paths.

To the production version of Nectar, it's at $179 (US). You can get it from Time+space for approx. $155.

To the standard edition, it's around $129. I don't see that upgrade option yet on any retail sites yet.

we've been playing with the demo today, and...it's really nice. sure, some features are already available to us (ie eq, comp, etc), but having a 'master space' to work in for a vocal...very cool. and the modules work very well.

the harmonizing function is what i really want to use. but we can't figure out how to get it working with midi input, my main interest in this (my engineer tried the same path he's used with izotope's stutter edit); does it not work right??

was considering this over harmony engine evo...(while i wait for the 64bit AU).

anyone else? we're in logic X...

What's especially shocking is someone finally used decent vocalists to demo a vocal plug-in.

Post

I'll definitely be upgrading to this. Love Nectar!!

Post

Hope its not as CPU unfriendly as first version!

ugh, NO midi support in logic X for the harmonizer. my MAIN interest in this! odd, their own stutteredit can do this...as can antarestech's harmony engine evo, coming as a 64bit AU in a few weeks....which i guess i'll be getting.

sad, really, it's a lovely-sounding, well thought out plugin.but useless for me....
