Depends on the price. For £150 its ok. Better than the rocket. Just play thru a diff kybd.

Not for me tho, prefer the original version.

Looks very legit to me.

Don't get put of by the mini keyboard- look at the sequencer! Could be a new 303...surely a micro real keyboard is better than the keyboard on the Roland 303 and people seem to be able to make music with that!

cant really say much until i hear it and more importantly mess around with one in the shop.

could be fun if the price is right, who knows...

I guess we'll know the details soon. If it uses a different filter compared to the Minibrute it might fill a niche better.

What would be awesome is if they revealed a Maxibrute at WNAMM'14 that was like the Mini and Micro wedged together with a 44 key keyboard. :P

:-) I like using several keyboards at a time. In fact, in my studio room I'm surrounded by lots of hardware synths in a semi circle, so that I can reach out to each one easily and play which ever combination of synths as the inspiration strikes. This type of set up - as opposed to one master keyboard - is just great for jamming sessions.

Having said that, there is definitely a limit to how many key-based synth one could host comfortably - my room is certainly full now (I run out of space for my Arp Solina for example and am trying hard to do some hard 'furniture arithmetics' to bring it back, lol).

On the subject of Brutes, I'd love to see a Polybrute! Please!

No way, less is more!

Small and powerful, I would rather want one like that than the MiniBrute.

I'm curious about that "Sub > FM" and the "Overtone" knob, below it.

Anyway, I would gladly loose that minikeyb for the missing Filter ADSR, practically getting an improved CV i/o desktop/module version of the MiniBrute.

Edit: oh wait, the LFO is also a lighter version when compared with MiniBrute. hmmm... US$549 vs US$299.

Sequencer instead of Arp. Damn, as a module would be an interesting add-on to MiniBrute. Those minikeys put me off, TBH.

If it's some of this mini synth.. hmm... not my cup of tea

Wait a minute! ...that "BIg" word Arturia used.

Well, I know this is a lot of wishful thinking on my part but maybe that "BI" is a BI-Product as in 2 versions of a new product: the mini-keyb and a keybless module, perfect for those asking for that at MiniBrute announcement while also being a perfect companion for an already owned MiniBrute :)

ah well... like I said, wishful thinking here :(

Looks like a good starter synth, and though I too prefer a min 3-octave board, I'd like to have some fun with the sequencer live, and that mod matrix could be interesting...

To true!

I found the MiniBrute I tried in store was surprisingly enjoyable to use though.. easy to get variety of sounds.. has a pleasant bite to it. Would be nice to get that in poly mode with more keys (or at least a poly desktop version with true midi i/o) for under 700. Yeah, I'm dreaming.
