I know I'm a few years late with this complaint, but when they rereleased Jedi they monkeyed with the two songs you mentioned, and I'm not happy about it. How could they mess with "Yub Nub"? :x  :x
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

I agree that a world without Rawk would indeed be a pile of shite. That does not , however, take away my basic right as a citizen of the yoo-kay to set a right bobbins theme for the monthly contest :P

"An army of T-WILLIAM robots are sent to invade Scotland. Their mission is to seek out one individual......................"

Mr Tugger, sir...

for someone who debunks prog wherever possible, might I draw your attention to the similarity between your entry and various King Crimson tunes of the last 10 years...

You sir, are a progger! Don't deny it! After the shades of Ultravox last month, you have Fripped us out this month - deny it if you dare!

:-o :x :x :x :x Prepare yourself for a kriminal style 'personal message' :x :x

Hehe, if it does sound like King Kwimson, then they've been ripping off Black Sabbath a bit then. :P :)

Seriously though, I've never heard KK, though people say Slayer took a lot from them, and I have listened to a lot of Slayer in my time. :hihi:

donk:
Well Iommi and Fripp are contemporaries, so I imagine some 'borrowing' may have taken place...

I reckon you might like some of their stuff from 1994 onwards, although some earlier works may interest you.. but not anything before 1972 - you'll find that too overblown I imagine! Look for Vroomm, Red, and Discipline, I would say.

Everyone:
Anyway, my entry is up: The Amoeba Variations.

Hope you like it!

I have been having lots of fun working on the Sci fi project. Should it be more like a soundtrack? with changes in the orchestration and Voice overs, special effects etc.. which is where I am at now, or should it be more like a song, with a beat ( drums ), using sci fi sounds?
Play it by ear

I think that's the beauty of these contests. You don't have rules that are that strict on the creative side. Stuff with lyrics seems to have more appeal around here, but a good tune is a good tune.

Good luck!
