Note editing mode

I'm not sure but if I recall correctly, there was a note editing mode at RC v1.x, where it was possible to edit notes directly in the composition window. Now it seems to be necessary to double click a phrase which opens the phrase editor and make the note changes there. Then I have to execute the command "Apply changes to Phrase in Composition".

That's a quite cumbersome procedure just to change a note. Is that really the only way to do it or am I missing something?

Hi,

there is still a note editing mode, if you click on the icon left to the 'Snap' setting, or press F2 to enter note editing mode. Press F1 to get back to phrase editing.

Thanks,
Attila

Ah yes, thanks. So easy. :dog: Sorry for the noise.

It's ok JFK... we're here to help! :)

No, the question was good. You are right that the functionality of the icons cannot be easily seen. I'll see what can be done to improve this.

I was curious, why I didn't find that. So, I compared it with earlier versions of RC. Until V2.0 there was a switch "Editing Mode" next to the "Phrase Transpose" switch. That was better, IMHO. It needed only one click to switch between the Phrase/Note editing modes, instead of two clicks. And the switch could not be overlooked ;)
