What do you know - I actually need some composers.

Hi there. The first thing I'm going to say is, No, this is not a paid job. It is, however, a project with widespread promotion pretty much guaranteed, and even more if you really do a good job.

EDIT: For clarity, no one's getting paid on this project. It's a free album and everyone who works on it is a volunteer about to broadcast their talent to thousands.

I'm a project assistant director at http://www.ocremix.org, and Ocremix is a site where we remix video game music on a near-professional AND on a professional level. We are wrapping up a huge project some years in the making, but a couple tracks are still not taken and we need some help.

Specifically, I'm looking for either epic orchestration, heavy metal or some combination of both to rearrange either or . No cover versions, these are designed to be full re-imagining of the original tracks with around 50% source and 50% new material.

And for those of you cynical enough to think asking for quality tracks without paying $ for them is foolhardy, take a look at the project thread: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14083. Every track in blue is a near-professional quality or professional quality track. You're getting paid in promotion and thousands of people seeing and listening to your work pretty much guaranteed. The project is also unable to fail being so close to completion.

If interested, please write me at Meteo.Xavier@gmail.com. My email's open all day every day, and I respond one way or another pretty quick.

Thank you!

Nobody's getting paid. It's a free album with hard working volunteers on it.

No electro remix needed ?

No, this is not a paid job

Because pickpocketing rich lawyers to give the money to street musicians feels more rewarding, perfecting such skills would proly feel better then to put energy into working on someone elses dreams and hopes and plans.

Then why did you bother posting anything at all? I don't understand the problem here. The other forums I posted this on didn't give me condescending elitist assholes, they gave me musicians with real talent instead of musicians with childish bad attitudes.

Look, I'm sorry you guys are getting your hopes up thinking this is some kind of professional gig by a rich studio that didn't have anywhere else to turn but a KVR message board, but that's not what this is. This is just a volunteer project. No one's getting paid on it. I don't get paid, my boss doesn't get paid, there's no money flow of any kind. I'm not out to exploit anyone, I'm just here to see if anyone would be interested in joining up.

Not good enough for you? Then move on. You don't have to be a dickhead to show you're not interested. Even if this was a paying gig, we wouldn't have any use for no-name talent with poor professional attitudes. At Ocremix, we do music because we love to do music. We don't pull that arrogant troll shit.

Sorry to rant, but damn. It's just a volunteer project for anyone who feels like volunteering. I'd think if you were a musician of such clout that you wouldn't have time or resources to take an unpaid job, your attitude might somewhat resemble a professional's.

Nice to know exactly how much respect you have for the musicians here that you are panhandling from.

I don't respect assholes. If you wanted respect, you could've provided an appropriate response instead of a condescending joke.

I really don't think anybody thought that for even a split second.

Tell me, what is the ultimate goal of this project? What is it's long term purpose?

Well my apologies that you had to have a sense of humor bypass, but that doesn't entitle you to be a jerk.

Go check the forum rules.
