It banged allright and sounded allright, but the drums sounded a bit lifeless, overcompressed and the hook is rather a bit tame. Its not bad, but it doesn't convince me that it'll floor a party crowd

I like trance music, and I like this song! The only issue I had with it was the ending - at around 8:31, the music seemed to stop abruptly (I tested it in 2 MP3 players just to make sure).

yeah sorry soundclick only accepts 10mb and it was 10.4 so a bit was chopped off. Glad you like cheers.

Didn't put any compression on the drums.

Cause they were single hit samples so I imagine they had already been compressed.

Honestly? It's got the trance sounds, it's got the trance drum loops stacked on top, but it lacks the heart and punch of a trance song that comes out and grabs you. No transitions stick out, most are rough, and no build of excitement. Too stripped down, and too many cliche lines is the main problem. Needs more tender loving care, and more subtlies to make it stand out. Good start, just needs more work. Oh, and back off the extreme compression.

Ah - one tip for uploading to Soundclick. They only stream your songs at 128kbps, so if you upload at a different rate (I assume you uploaded at 160?) then they will uncompress and recompress your song, leading to lower sound quality.

Instead, upload your MP3 at 128kbps, and the song won't need to be recompressed. In fact, it will be a binary equivalent to what you upload, which preserves quality.

I like it!

The only problem is that after a while I spaced out and lost the "thread of it" - couldn't even tell you if I had changed the song to something else or not, without looking at the winamp readout ;)

The different parts of it don't seem to be related, but they are so good on their own I didn't really care :)

Nothing is - but don't let that discourage you from posting. There are many people who listen without commenting (as you can tell from the # of views). I'm sure a good number of them enjoy your music.

I for one enjoyed listening and hope you post more in the future.
