In the way that he said above, "so until there is another app that provides such a routing panel or a host/DAW includes the functionality it really is hard to show outside the testing app that Apple provides."

So at the moment it's like they have built some car seats but no one has built any cars to put them in.

Again, that is false. You can load Amplitube and for instance Nave into tabletop, and Nave will be effected by Amplitube. IK isn't able to provide a screenshot showing they are connected, but that doesn't mean it is not working.

While Nave does appear in the select app pop up in tabletop amplitube doesn't.

So perhaps you can do what Peter has so far not done and provide step by step instructions on how to achieve this please.

I don't own any apps that can act as a host, so guess it's up to Peter...

Edit to simplify: We know it works because we have tested with the official tools given to us so if the real gatekeeper feels OK putting "upcoming" apps on the list I simply didn't see a reason for AmpliTube to be left off as it is actually more IAA compatible than apps that are "upcoming" for sure. Instructions/video will likely come when there are more hosts that specifically support filter apps in a way that will be worth showing AmpliTube off in said capacity. Seems like I've said that before, though.

Whilst I'm sure Amplitube will work well in the future, I've tested and can confirm it doesn't work with Tabletop as yet.

I was really hoping that Amplitube was going to function as an inter-app audio host or node. It's cool that Garageband and Auria can use Amplitube as an effects plugin, but not being able to use the drummer or studio feature is a missed opportunity that is hopefully rectified in the near future.

We're working on an update to Alchemy Mobile now. The update will include a control panel for IAA*. It's working well with the updated Garageband, Auria and Looptical.

Peace,
Andy.

Everyone needs to check out AudioShare!

Got a nice little setup running with this, now i just wish there were more developers as quick to the punch as Amplitube!! Here's how it's working:

Beatmaker 2 outputting midi data from empty keyboard track to specific midi channel
Audiobus open.
Nave as Audiobus Input, with midi input channel corresponding to beatmaker's output channel
Any Audiobus compatible FX in the middle
AUDIOSHARE app as the AudioBus output.
Open AudioShare, click the mic button and AudioBus should be the top icon in the menu
Load Amplitube into the second slot in the menu (hopefully many more apps can fill the next two slots soon!)

Voila! You can now hit play in Beatmaker, and Nave will start playing, and you can open Amplitube and tweak to your heart's content ! Once you get your sound right, hit record in Audioshare and record a sound, and AudioCopy it from AudioShare to wherever you need.
