I'm with Himalaya. I hated modules in the 80s/90s and still hate them. I don't care about the size, but when I play a synth, I want a keyboard to be able to get both hands on it and play it on its own without having to turn on the DAW and everything else. A little disappointed with a smaller Minibrute - I'd far prefer a bigger synth. Smaller market for it though.

One of the things I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to visit a shop and try out a Minibrute while I was in the UK for a few weeks recently (few and far between here in NZ), and no doubt the Minibrute will be gouged at a ridiculous price here, as usual)

I like using several keyboards at a time. In fact, in my studio room I'm surrounded by lots of hardware synths in a semi circle, so that I can reach out to each one easily and play which ever combination of synths as the inspiration strikes. This type of set up - as opposed to one master keyboard - is just great for jamming sessions.

Well I do sort of have a similar setup - I'm surrounded by synths on 3 sides in a sort of horseshoe shape - I have a V-Synth keyboard in front of me (under the screen) - with my Kore and NUKE to the left of it for extra controls, and a Korg Workstation to the side, so that's two large keyboards. But on the other side I have my desktops - a Virus Ti, Nord G2 Engine and Yamaha VL Module (plus a Windows laptop for running a few Win only plugins). So a few keyboards is OK but as you say there are limits and I have enough for me - I just would have preferred if they made a desktop Brute too.

That's one cool set up you've got there! Would love the VL myself! Have fond memories of playing the VL-1. Bliss....
Despite my lack of space, I'd snap up a key's version of PolyBrute in an instance.

Not sure if the balance of lost features and new features makes it worth it. Have to look into it more. I just got the MiniBrute weds, might be too similar.

Sonic state activate the monetization option (ad), but the ad is chosen by google. At least you know the unskippable ad means more money for sonic state, so hopefully with the income they can do better review in the future.
