The Glue is great. DC8C is great, and will cover all bases, if you have your engineering book handy. It is DEEP. and sounds great. With a little experimentation and homework I am very sure DC8C could do what the Glue does.

I do own both and use the Glue more, because it is far simpler to control and more predictable to me. There has to be points for that.

What glorious hyperbole. I've tested DCAM BusComp and The Glue extensively on all sorts of material and although the knobs don't translate identically, my eventual impression was that they're within 95% of each other after only a little bit of tweaking and level matching. I didn't think much of ChanComp at first until I started experimenting with the Bias knob and found I could get it to mimic other FET compressors' behavior as well; at least the ones I could demo anyway. I think the DCAM Dynamics bundle is largely underrated.

Agreed and essentially mirrors my earlier comment. These days basically everything is of such a high quality that the difference is marginal at best

The Glue: My favorite compressor. My most used compressor.
I also have DC8C which is great, more of a Swiss Army knife. Both are great to have.
I recommend both
