Wait a minute.... now where did I see that 'other' discussion on ARPs :D

Ah! The one on the REAPER forum. I've been trying lots of freeware Arp's lately and downloaded Dust Arp. It's a great tool but Blue Arp still remains my arp of choice at this stage.

Are there any plans for a stutter/division feature per step? Also, is there a gate length per step?

I think I can add 1 more value bar next to velocity, my preference is gate per step. Other opinions?
AusDisciple wrote:I especially love the GUI. I'm using it with a touch screen (my Sony Vaio Duo 11) and it is great for live improvised recordings with my analog rig which is exactly what I was looking for...
This is a useful feedback, thanks. I kept the idea of touchscreen in mind when I designed it, though I don't have touchscreen PC yet, but I will

Does it show anything for "Input keys pre-filter"? Need more details. From plugin's point of view it doesn't make any difference between keys coming from piano roll or from keyboard, so it looks strange.

I 'freezed' 1.12rc5 as a first stable version. I will upload it to KVR database.

Expand the gui and add more features. I don't find your interface to be at all sleek or refined anyway. If you can be flexible, you will succeed where all other developers fail.

Thanks! I'm far behind Stephen Kay, AFAIK he spent 10+ years on 1st version of KARMA. But for sure it influenced me, I had Korg KARMA for a while.

PS. I'm in the process of testing force to scale and chord recognition. Going to upload new experimental version tonight.

Post

New BlueARP demo, spend several hours on it. Using new 'Force to scale' feature
3 instances of BlueARP (bass + 2 sequences) and 4 beats drum loop.

Wouw, great demo. And I heard some of my <--- avatar in there :D

New experimental version 1.13b2
http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/BlueARP_v1.13b2.zip

Features:
1. Force to scale (not all scales present yet)
2. Chord recognition + arranger-like harmonization
3. Pattern chains (1st prototype)

This version may be unstable, so be careful. For your projects, better use 1.12rc5. Patch format in this one is compatible with 1.12rc5, so it should pick up your saved projects. But again, before switching to it better make backups.
When Force to scale = auto and Root = auto, it behaves somewhat like an arranger, i.e. detects a chord and tries to fit all notes within the corresponding scale. I was not sure whether to keep this feature or not (it's too tricky), so I'm waiting for opinions.

For pattern chains - now it's possible to set only 1 program for chain (just type in number). Later, I want to implement sequences like 1-1-1-2. It's possible to configure bank\patch number for each chain, bluearp will send it to the synth when you switch chain. Set num. chains to desired number of chains. Then automate 'current chain'.

Till now it is very good idea and very suitable. ;)

So you mean there's no ability to switch patterns by Midi messages? (buttons)?
