There's a possibility of supporting other formats as well. Take a look at the keymaps at the temporary site and see if that kind of thing is possible with <insert your sampler here>. I'll consider expanding support if your request is backed up well enough.
Dont know about you, but i never use drums in a ROMpler, and i dont use those ROMplers anyway. Can you not put up the .wavs? I have no interest in multi samples (emporers new clothes) so one of each would do.

Cheers

Kriminal,

I already said this earlier in the thread:

Kontakt/Halion/EXS support automatically means that you will get the .WAV files.

The different formats are nothing but keymap/group/multi definition files.

Soundfonts are different.

To be honest, using these as single hits or with no velocity swithing defeats the purpose of the kits, especially if programmed "on-the-grid". That drum-machine type approach has been plaquing too many kits to date. I expect these kits to sound like absolute shite like that.

You've been warned.

Look at the ride configuration on the keymaps of the "ROMpler setups" at the demo site. It's like that for a few very good reasons: playability and realism.

DO you have a Sampletank mapping ????

Sorry, I have no access to sampletank at the moment. Maybe someone else could do the conversion?

I know sampletank supports samplecell, so maybe someone could convert these to samplecell first (with maybe CDxtract). Don't know how some of those would handle 24bit 48khz samples though...

I always get excited when I think of drum samples. The demos show these to be worth the download. Can't wait to try them. Thanks for your hard work.

You won't miss the release if you check http://members.lycos.co.uk/michaelkingston every once in a while.

These sound great.... But not the best I've ever heard.

But then, I've heard BFD XFL in action.

All I can say is, hold onto yer pants! :D

And I have to say, the rides in BFD are pretty darned good anyway, especially with the new ride bells on offer.

I've heard BFD in action as well, the standard version to be exact. That's what I'd be using if my box was faster. Will place an order by next major hardware upgrade.

Still though,

my kits are free.

and not 28GB.

Don't get me wrong, BFD are bloody fantastic. And now that the latest update has finally fixed my Sonar crash-on-exit issue, I can really use them with confidence. But after a brief spell of using them on all my projects, I'm once again appreciating the wide variety of drums I have at my disposal. Sometimes I want a raw sounding, lo-fi drum sound; others, a big slick over-compressed pop sound. And moreover, I'm so used to working with DR-008, it's just as easy for me to grab that.

So, in other words, hell yeah, bring it on. I can't wait to try these out.

I want to say thanks in advance, and just an request for people with dial-up modems like me...
Please do not use zip, "rar" them instead, in multiple smaller volumes with máximum audio compression.
This makes it easier to download, and in the event that one of the volumes wouldn't properly extract, you don't have to download the whole lot again.
I have some kits recorded by myself too, in certain recording sessions for other people, from some time ago, that I'm seriously considering to make public some day, when I could eventually sort out the bandwidth issue. (100MB to 380MB uncompressed) :-(
Best luck!
