This was fixed with 2.6 :)
Should have been more specific with my reply. I was referring to an improvement in the track track order/positioning. How before if you moved a track around they would get moved/randomized in another area. There are a couple wonky features with the track names/colors/positioning within the program.

At least now you can keep the order in place between the arrangement and mixer views.

The resale value is low because it is on sale for half off several times a year. When on sale from Presonus or other vendors, you can buy Pro new for under $200 and I've seen Producer as low as $84 or so with additional Audiomidi or JRR discounts. I bought Producer new for $99 awhile ago and it's brilliant. You figure if I sold it I would probably only lose $20-$25 (if that) and you've got a great bargain. I think the key is just not be foolish and pay full-price for the product in the first place.

Pretty amazing DAW, and its only on version 2. I'm excited to see how it evolves over the next few years.

I should have also mentioned the obvious, that if someone wants something like the Cubase instrument track, just only load single stereo instrument instances per track, like Cubase's instrument tracks. In that case it works much the same way except for the unified naming... because it's still a racked instrument object.

I work exclusively that way except for midi drums. One track, one instrument instance of Kontakt, Mach 5, Presences, etc. It makes everything in S1 much smoother as relates to some of that stuff... for me... mmv.

This is the first time this has happened to me, and I can find absolutely no way to work around it!
Basically when I try to export my project, the first note of 2 of the tracks do not play. I've tried rendering the entire mix-down, I"ve tried rendering stems, I've tried to CTRL-B (bounce) and the first note is cut off in the audio file.

It seems like it all started when I separately transformed them all to audio tracks. When I un-transformed them, and tried to render, this is when I ran into this issue.

I've tried moving the notes over and back to make sure the midi note is definitely not stuck before the line. I've tried cutting a later section of the loop to the beginning of the song. Still no go. I have no idea how to work around this!

Any ideas?

I have had the same thing happen. Try inserting an empty bar at the beginning so that the song starts at bar 2.

This is called buggy software !

One more reason I stick to Cubase 7 . I would most likely consider using S1pro when ver. 3 is released.

Studio One is actually one of the most stable and bug free software packages I have ever used.

Of course, Cubase 7 does not have its share of bugs...

Well I've tried moving everything to the right a few bars, but not actually inserting an empty clip before everything. I think I could real time render as well, might be my only option. Thanks for the reply!

Have you tried converting to a Musicloop and then dragging back in the midi file to see if that works?

Or Import the midi to another DAW to check it, resave it if it looks Ok and see if this works.

What are your export settings? Are you exporting the whole song or a loop or a specific region? Check your Start/End song markers if exporting the whole song.

It's a long stretch, but did you check whether these notes are muted or not?

Does it happen with certain instruments or all instruments? Can you post and link to a small song containing clips where it's happening so others can try to recreate?

The only time I've ever seen that happen here is with FLStudio running in sync, where it needs a little bit of lead time.
