Yup. It's going to be interesting to see how quickly people roll out 64-bit AAX. Sounds like some developers are ready to go as soon as PT11 hits the streets. I hope Spectrasonics isn't far behind.re_mute wrote:Pro Tools 11 should be here in the next couple of weeks, it'd be nice to get some update from Spectrasonic's on when they'll be releasing their plugs in AAX format.

I guess that (old!) post is a somewhat indirect confirmation that Stylus and Trillian might see an update. Actually, StylusRMX should see the next "jump", Trillian was an evolution of former smaller Trillian products, and Omnisphere is an evolution of Athmosphere. So I hope RMX is next (even if that in turn was an evolution of Stylus).
Which reminds me of a mail I once had with Spectrasonics regarding a FR that was most important to me: native WAV and REX loading capabilities, with auto slicing. The development team couldn't confirm or say anthing of course, but that FR was accepted and they liked the idea. So there is hope.
As long as I'm using RMX now (and that's a couple of year, unfortunately no SAGE packs), it's been a stellar tool, and I'm still only scratching the surface (mainly using it as plain loop player, which is way underpowering this engine).
If Eric is like "ya know, here's a new upgrade for RMX" by next NAMM, I'm definitely all game.
Then again, we waited so long. I can continue waiting. RMX 1.9 is still working, and we got a sh*t-ton of new features with every update, and barely any bugs. So the money was well spent.

How exciting if Spectrsonics have any new plans for their 3 excellent instruments! I own and LOVE Stylus RMX with all the SAGE packs and have converted a stack load of my other 3rd party loops to RMX format.
I'd love to eventually get the other 2 instruments starting with Omnisphere. I know that this is a truly phenomenally powerful synthesiser with a massive sound library. However, it love Spectrasonics to make this into the world's best 'meat and potato' workstation instrument with ultra high quality pianos, eps, guitars, basses, drums, horns, strings etc etc. No doubt there are a lot of these sounds already in there but marketing this product as the 'be all and end all' VI to give the likes of NI and East West a run for their money would be awesome (ok just IMHO of course).
Great thread by the way!

I'd two like more meat and potatoes too. Now you've got me thinking.....if trilian is very meat and potatoes, there is no reason omni can't do that.
Crap, now I'll be hoping for it
