If Sonar allows using a host interface instead of the plugin GUI, does it happen then, too?

At the moment I can't think of anything that might cause this.

Hi,

Yes it works fine when using automation.

I have recommended it to people on the cakewalk forum and they have said the 64 bit version is working fine.

Will look at getting an mp3 to you.

I wonder what's the changelog for v1.2.1? I suppose not much, since you didn't even mention it and there's no changelog entry on your website. But still, I'm curious.

Well spotted.

It was a quick fix, hence the forgotten changelog entry.

The high boost number of decimal places was only one instead of two and editing the value didn't worked. I added the changelog entries.

There is a roll off from the 40Hz in default state. I found that 1db on the 10Hz band will make it linear.

You're able to hear -1dB at 10Hz? Wow! Some people really have some ears and extremely accurate monitoring!

I highpass everything to about 30Hz-40Hz because my poor monitors aren't able to reproduce those frequencies at all, so no wonder I didn't notice.

Really man, are you for real??

Just save a "linear preset then". Gosh. What you really want and need is actually more than -1dB at 10Hz. Always. That's DC offset, not audio any more.

I don't think xtrax was proclaiming to have heard that there is roll off from the 40Hz in default state, but rather stating an observation he had came across when viewing the response in SPAN.

I few plugins do this kinda of thing in the default state. SonEQ Pro in another plugin that lifts the low end just slightly in default.

There are many plugins that use highpass filter to remove the DC offset from 0-20-30-40Hz even. Like Klanghelm IVGI, Sonimus Satson, Dust Equalizer... Mostly analog emulations. It's actually a desirable behavior in most cases if it doesn't influence the frequencies above 40-50Hz. Everything lower than 30-40Hz should be highpassed anyway to give you more headroom in the mix IMHO. Luftikus just lowers 10Hz -1dB, so in comparison Luftikus is cleaner. Nobody should mind -1dB @ 10Hz, it's ridiculous and that's what I tried to point out.

Actually, I just checked it myself and judging by the VST Analyzer, Luftikus has a DC Offset/HP filter set at ~12Hz. That's why there's -1dB at 10Hz...

That's good and it's not very strong like in IVGI or Satson.

IVGI has DC offset filter set at 12Hz, too, but it filters out the frequencies slowly from 30Hz down. Judging by VST Analyzer it has a combination of DC offset filter and HPF set at 60Hz, but it boosts 60Hz and from there it slowly goes down to 0dB at 30Hz, then ~-9dB down to ~12Hz.

Yeah, the best subs can play 30Hz, and only hyper-ultra expensive ones that cost an arm, leg and a kidney, too, can play 20Hz. But there's nothing, I think, that can play 10Hz.

Speakers at dance clubs usually cannot play frequencies lower than 50-60Hz, and having too much power lower than that can actually destroy them. Speakers, not clubs.

I think it's a better deal to boost the 40Hz 1dB

And actually lower 10Hz a few dBs. That creates a really nice sub bass curve and gets rid of the unnecessary stuff so the necessary stuff gets some room to breathe.

this EQ. I use just about 2-3 more aside from Luftikus. Dust Equalizer and DDMF 6144 mostly. All wonderful and complementary EQ plugins.

This Luftikus EQ wil put a lot of EQ's out of use. I'm using it and it is simple perfect.

6144 will come out with new version soon I think, probably with possibility to turn off Hi cut filter.
If you turn off LF/HF In button 6144 will sound even better.
