Yes. I used the 64-bit DLL. If you need a copy of SAVIHost, you can download it for free from here: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htmpayne_bc wrote:Did you use the new version I just posted?

Yep, I can confirm it's a total mess using SAVIHosttonedef71 wrote:Yes. I used the 64-bit DLL. If you need a copy of SAVIHost, you can download it for free from here: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htmpayne_bc wrote:Did you use the new version I just posted?

Wow great support.
It would be great if the lfo sync to tempo were showing actual note value instead of 0-100 value.
Also the matrix value don't seem to work as depth value but more as starting value point for the modulated parameter ( make sens ?? )
I think it's a synth with tremendous sound possibilities

Thanks for the updates Christian, great to have a developer onboard and with so fast response times, especially early on.

Not sure I get the lfo sync thing. I'll check the matrix value though, you could be right.alxiroi wrote:Wow great support.

Unfortunately still no-go here in Reaper. Same issues with this last version, GUI not updating controls both for learn and patch-changes.payne_bc wrote:Ok. fixed the issues with the UI updates.
- switching program in the host will now update the synth UI
- switching program in the synth will update the selected instrument in the host
- automating a parameter and tweaking it will update the UI
Hope this works for all of you. Thanks for the testing and feedback so far

I'm running the 32bit version Reaper 4.5x under WinXP.

I can replcate this in Reaper as well (with the last version you posted here). Not consistently, but sometimes.tonedef71 wrote:I noticed an issue with the 64-bit VSTi in SAVIHost (I have not tried the 32-bit VSTi). When I re-start SAVIHost, the last preset I was using is correctly loaded by the TuneFish sound engine, but the TuneFish preset browser internally thinks the "String, Short" preset is the currently loaded preset. When I try to cycle up or down through the presets with SAVIHost from that point on, the sound parameters all seem to be out of synch between the UI and the sound engine. From that point on, manually selecting a preset with TuneFish will result in TuneFish and SAVIHost being in agreement with the name and number of the currently selected preset, but the actual loaded sound is still some other preset. I am not sure if there is any way to synch the preset parameters as identified by the preset browser back with the preset parameters as loaded by the sound engine.

Sorry for interrupting the ongoing discussion, but had to say it somewhere.
For this OSC decided to go tracking as now I am more or less pretty comfortable with Jeskola Buzz and thought that using a demogroup synth with a tracker was a perfect fit. But as it seems automation is just impossible.
Normally you hit Rec. and tweak the parameter and it appears as hex code in its own column, then program it as you wish, interpolate etc.
But there are just a few automate-able parameters, whereas the things like filters, envelopes, Oscs, effect levels etc are missing.
Then tried with some Peer machines, but hit the same wall at the assign windows...
Then tried with Learn MIDI CC, again nothing.
So maybe I will go back to Zynewave Podium (no problems there), but really wanted to finish a whole track with Buzz.

The parameters are there, they just have to be set up manually (as they don't report themselves to the host automatically). Check your host/DAW manual for how.
As an example, here's how to do it in Reaper:

Thanks for the help V'ger, but my post was specific for Jeskola Buzz. In a conventional/linear host it's fine. As I said, there are no problems in Zynewave Podium, but somehow the parameters are not reported to Buzz.

Sorry if that wasn't clear. I mean it would be great if the rate value changed to typical note value when the LFO is sync to the host tempo ( like 1/16th, 1/8th, etc instead of the 0-100 rate value )payne_bc wrote:Not sure I get the lfo sync thing. And thank youI hope you're right. We'll hear that soon I guess.
Edit
Would also be cool if knobs were linear instead ( up down ) of rotary

And i'm curious to know what controls you guys automate most of the time. I never automate my synths. I basicly build a loop and add to it as the song go. Something tells me that i might need to go in that direction in order to get better.

Wow, seems to work on your system, so why not (yet) on mine. Do you run 32bit or 64bit version of Tunefish?V'ger wrote:The parameters are there, they just have to be set up manually (as they don't report themselves to the host automatically). Check your host/DAW manual for how.
