OK, while we are at imposcar here, I have a question, maybe someone can answer that. I bought v2 a while ago (didn't use it much though, because everything has become so incredibly tiny and illegible), and I tried to load some of my old v1 patches into v2, but that didn't really work (I use Cubase, I imported the old fxb as vst preset into v2). Does this work at all, did I do something wrong or do I just have to RTFM?

Just put them in the same directory tree as your other patches, they should show up in the patch browser automatically, and allow you to load the patches. They'll have a little "c" next to them, if you click that it'll convert the actual files.

Did you use the larger GUI that's available?

Hi Jon

Is there a way to reset preset or is there a default preset somewhere?

It would be really useful when making up own sounds rather than just modifying insisting presets.

Although as a workaround I've just created a default patch and saved it as "Init".

Go to your user area on GForce and download the Mr Arkadin patch bank. It's got an init preset in there.

ALL synths should have an init switch IMO. A patch is just a workaround, because it tends to get overwritten, especially during late-night programming sessions.

I always kind of forget about Imposcar 2 (because I don't really enjoy programming it), then, whenever I load it up, I fall in love all over again. Definitely a unique sound, quite different from the other synths mentioned. Not better, just different. Great filter!

@ ariston: Agreed, and no argument about it being the preferred option.
But one could always save another backup patch in another obscure location should you save over it.

... and this is exactly what I did. In fact, I have two backups. :D

A patch init facility is one of those things I'd like to find time to add, but interestingly noone in the test team asked for it so far as I know, I guess those who wanted one all took your approach.

You can make it read-only if you're worried about overwriting it.

Also, if you want to get to it quickly, assign it to one of the memory buttons.

Finally, if you're doing a lot of editing, do you know about the snapshot feature?

Just CTRL+Click on the save button, and it'll save the current patch under the current date and time, very quickly, no dialogs.

The idea was inspired by watching people with the controller, you can be in "knob-twiddling experimental mode" and quickly save any and all settings which you think might be cool without interrupting your flow.

Then later come back when you're in "admin mode" and sort through the snapshots, pick the ones you really like, name them, etc.

Thanks for the reply, Jon. Guess reading the manual helps sometimes.

That's a really great feature!

Thank you, good hint, hard to find without reading the manual (and always remember: real men don't read manuals!), the large size is quite readable. Except I need to buy I new hi-res screen as it doesn't fit mine :(

Does gForce own the copyright of the origianl OSCar or is it possible that other companies could do an "official" emulation of it too?

Would welcome an OSCar V from Arturia
