I love black keys, white is fun and all but black really brings out the "darkness, mystery, suspense etc" in a song.

It's kind of funny, but I just couldn't handle any more than the first half.

Yeah, its absolute sacrilege in ten different ways, but, considering the skill level, the genre, the audience, the date (:hihi:)etc, etc, it is genius advice. In the end, it will help certain people get closer to making what they want to make.
Lazy/"efficient", how ever you want to look at it.
