Tunefish by Brain Control

RULES:

+ Either Tunefish 2 or Tunefish 3 can be used (only one!)

too bad this challenge is not as big as last months, i don't own any CM Synths but junglist cm that came with the beat studio starter pack, so i couldn't do the competition but this month is ok, i'll give it a try.

Well (finally) here it is: "Or-Kha" - my entry for "OSC57 - Tunefish"

- DAW: FL 9.
- 17 instances: half of the used presets were made from scratch, the rest are stock; everything you hear (including the drums) is Tunefish.
- No external effects, except for "MHorse P3" by Terry West (www.terrywest.nl/) on the master track.

This song is dedicated to Christian Loos (payne), creator of Tunefish - for his outstanding dedication & support to this synth & its users. The ammount of work & the countless updates during all this time are a testament of exemplary behaviour and communication. Thank you for going the extra mile.

On a different note, working with this synth turned out very interesting, challenging and actually a lot of fun. Initially I thought of using TF2 due to all the "horror stories" regarding the instability of TF3, but then the updating avalanche started and in the end the version I've decided to use is the latest (and fairly stable) beta (no.12 is it?). I intended to play safe and keep it simple: only stock presets, no external effects, so I won't risk crashes and losing the sessions, but as the song took shape it became clear I had to roll my sleeves up and start working on presets from scratch because the sounds I needed were not in the factory bank - as a result, half of the song's "ingredients" are "home-baked" (I'm a terrible baker btw)

However I did manage to limit only to the synth's built in effects (yay)

Preset and Sound Design : Buzz and Cantabile; I filled up a whole 128 bank and used in this song over 15 presets, plan to upload the bank to the KVR TuneFish page.

Arrangement : Performed Live with Cantabile using TuneFish V3 Synth with MIDI help from Kirnu and Phrazor VSTi and FX of Ambience, BootMKII, NastyDLA, and Limiter6

Mix : Reaper with ReaEQ, KarmaFX Equalizer, Seven Phases Spectrum Analyzer, Limiter6

Original Artwork done with mainly Creature House Expression 3 and finished in Xara

Long time no here, missed the Dune cutoff so tried Tunefish
Using the original so no automation and timings a bit of.
