Now is your chance to be among the earliest to own the first portable stereo speaker that is truly designed with musicians and audiophiles in mind. iLoud combines superior power with spectacular audio resolution and amazing low end. For the first time, musicians can have a portable speaker that sounds like a studio monitor, and allows them to create high-quality compositions and accurate mixes on the go.

Featuring rechargeable battery operation, pristine frequency response, and the flexibility of both Bluetooth and wired operation, iLoud makes it possible to compose, record, and mix anywhere from a mobile music rig. It gives you the convenience of a cableless connection, together with the performance of a hi-fi speaker, and offers a superior listening experience at home, with your friends, and on the go.

As it's name implies, iLoud is much louder than your average portable speaker. With a full 40 Watts of sonic power, iLoud sounds two to three times louder than comparable-sized speakers. It provides a richer, more powerful sound for any type of music style from rock to hip-hop to electronic.

Can we get some real specs like RMS power, frequency range, size drivers, enclosure design, etc? Looks like a good competitor to current Bluetooth portable, but if I can't read things like power (true decibel 1W@1M), frequency response (big difference in 150 - 20,000 or 50-20,000 etc.) then I don't think I would buy. Need to know it will support the music I make at the volumes I like (with headroom). Thanks.

Bluetooth and stereo analog line input
As we all know now that using Bluetooth introduces latency, have IK issued a spec on how much latency (ms) is introduced when using the Bluetooth option? If it's too high, you really can't use Bluetooth for multitrack recording. Have you guys found a way to eliminate this latency?
Superior low frequency extension and sound accuracy
We have these things called "specs". Most of us here at KVR don't fall for the hyprbole.

[Aw crap. Wormhelmet beat me to it.]

All specs are listed on the product page I linked in the first post. We have a specs page for all of our products.

We also don't recommend Bluetooth for real-time performance and recording, never have. That's why there's the 1/8" input and the iRig circuit. These details are also available on the product page, though it seems we should post a mirror or the product page and sub pages here in the future ;)

Bought something similar years ago, portable stereo speaker system for iDevices. The volume wheel (clickable on my iPortableStereoSpeakerSystem) looks the same with the ring of light and all. That one had both ac and battery, native iDevice connector, 1/8" etc but no Bluetooth though. Had a tiny remote which was kinda handy. Anyway, point here is that you're always claiming to be the first with this and that, and you're always wrong. So lose that little tag line and it'll all look a little better on your end IKM.

We designed the iLoud from the ground up. It may look familiar, but it is 100% IK's Italian design through and through. There are currently no other portable loudspeakers specifically made for the modern mobile musician. The built in iRig Circuit is just one of the features that sets it apart.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Nice. Nice too that its cost is comparable. Well, except that it is actually spec-wise a better deal than most.

Definitely better than most, we have tons of videos comparing it to the competition as well. The battery life alone leaves most in the dust!

Bought one today at Guitar Center. Really has to heard to be believed. Lots of good response. Bass is good, but not overpowering and muddy. It's fairly clean. Small but very sturdy enclosure. Feels pretty hefty for a little speaker box. Ten times my previous wired small speaker solution. This can fill a large room easily and then some for clean sound.

I'll report more when I try out the guitar input. I think this easily blows away the current $300 offerings in Bluetooth speakers. Same size pretty much as some of the other bigger ones. Jawbone Big Jambox, Sony book, UE Boombox, are all about the same size and price, but this is much much more in volume headroom and bass response.

Very nice for a portable.

No place to host pics, but it is sitting on my kitchen counter happily alongside a Korg padKontrol, and Beatmaker 2 sounds great.

Haha. No ads! Just good sound.

Bluetooth pairs easily. Nice to have wired or Bluetooth. Most of the music I listen to is very bass heavy and this is the only system I found to reproduce the very low sounds this well. On the flip of lows and highs, guitar and vocals sound very well too. All around it is a nice response. That's with no EQ fussing. Of course, there are EQ options in all the iPad DAWs, so if you want to tailor it to sound bass heavy or muddied or thin on mids, you can. Out of the box, its going to be rather good on all frequencies.

My other set of wired mini speakers were only $50. This is the major leap up in quality I was wanting for my little portable setup.

Nice little mic/guitar gain knob in the back too.

Say what you will. I am pretty darn happy with the purchase. At the guitar center I visited to pick it up, they had the iPad hooked to a Traktor DJ controller with a nice playlist and they let me turn it up to test properly. Hard to believe all that good sound comes out of something so small.
