Ok, found the reason for the clicks in the addsynth and fixed that. There seems to be a second source though and that is the highpass which causes the click in the release of basedrum for example. That one I'm still looking for.

Indeed. I had to take it for a quick spin myself and made a small part of "Variform by Mel Funktion" with it. Quite happy with the result, sounds pretty smooth so far.

Actually found one more reason for clicks. Polyphony. When you use a low one and an instance of a note gets kicked, it is not properly ended and will click. So watch out of the polyphony setting if you get clicking. It *might* be the reason.

Yes, I know what you think... no beta9?! :D no, not today. I want something to do tomorrow.
Okay, not in front of laptop at the mo (android tablet) it was a deep baseline I was designing, can't remember what the polyphony setting was at tbh.

Ah no worries I'm off to bed in a bit have enough bug fixing of my own to do tomorrow, but will expect beta 9 ready for my session tomorrow evening ;-)

I know everyone here appreciates your prompt updates and is invaluable exercise as a rigourous public beta test for yourself, i am really looking forward to creating good with it, if my composition skill is good enough lol

Anyway nice to be able to give bug reports instead of receiving them :D

Wicked  Thanks again Flash

I leave this topic for a while, and BOOM, about 5 new versions are already released

I'm just wondering: is there a way to control the oscillator's wave to stick more or less to the points (aka smoothen or linearize it up)? I see that using a triangle or a saw wave preset makes the waveform points behave differently.

Ah this is one thing that should go into a readme :)
You can right-click between two waypoints to switch the interpolation between linear, step or spline interpolation.

Will give the lastest version a road test tonight :) :)

some questions:

1. i got the latest beta version not from today but the one listed 2 days ago and i got heavy probs in fl studio, many parameters arent effecting the sound like trying to shape the waveforms etc. sometimes ADSR doesnt word too.

2. may you only use the synth or can you use something else for mixing and mastering? otherwise you cannot mix and master properly (well it's not important for me, just to know and follow the rules ;D).

thanks, i got a song in preparation and should be finished soon, i dunno a name yet :P

Oh wow, thanks! That's something really good to know!

Here's a quote from the rules:
- Any type of modulation effect like chorus, phaser, flanger etc is not allowed.
However, if another type of effect (like delay or reverb for example) has modulation as a secondary effect,
it can be used, but the modulation usage must be minimal.
- Effects that pitch the sound are not allowed.
- Any effect that transform the sounds to make them unrecognizable as being from the synth is not allowed.
- DAW effects are allowed, as are 3rd party effects if they are freeware and easily available.
And here's the recommended plugs page: https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/re ... ed-plugins

and the build-in effects? like the chorus of Tunefish itself?

I don't know about you guys, but in my setup, the timing of TuneFish is horrible.

Anybody else experienced this?

Setup:

Podium 3.2.1
TuneFish x64

Quick question, are you using the latest beta8 version? Before this there were some pitch drift/timing issues (for me at least).

I use 32-bit but since the latest beta8 it's been pretty good, even at 96kHz.

@Payne_BC, sorry to report but the SUSTAIN issue (where the sound can drop out) is back again.

One other thing I have found is that using the mouse to fine-tune the circular dials can get a little hoopy :? Changing values up and down eventually causes a lock up (of the dial value) where subsequent mouse wheel movements no longer change the value.

No a huge deal but has anyone noticed this?

any effect offered by the synth itself is of course allowed

Another Podium user, great.

I am not sure what you mean with timing, but if it is latency, there's no problem here at all using Podium 3.2.1 x64 and the latest beta build of Tunefish x64. Using ASIO4ALL and the on-board audio the mixer reports 2ms of latency @128 buffer in 48KHz, and everything plays in sync.
