OK hey folks first sorry if these questions are answered else I could not find .

I hope everyone is doing well :)

I just bought AE figure I have some fun . Most daw Apps I see are seem to geared more towards the musicians who do more loop work and or a good understanding of the programs of this new era LOL

yeah I'm not young but not old either hahaha ok So my needs are simple I play guitar so I want record a track into AE .

I would like to record direct line in via a simple patch cord and I do not want the the phones mic to be active.

I read where AE say to get a 4 pole trrs that will split the signal . What I need is to see how this works I assume using this means you don't have to have a mic actually hooked up in this set up so I can just get the guitar recorded with out the phone mic interfering ? .

Thanks for your help on this

Thank you for your purchase. For support questions you can always contact us directly at info AT audio-evolution.com.

The splitter cable we have is not wired up correctly, so basically this means it does not work. That doesn't mean there are cables that are wired up ok, but in the end chances are slim you get one that does.

So this leaves you with two choices: either see if an iRig device from IK Multimedia suits you (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig/), although we have only tested the iRig MIC Cast (which works, so we expect the other products to be the same internally). Or you could invest in a USB audio solution. Audio Evolution Mobile supports USB audio interfaces when you have also purchased our USB Audio Recorder PRO software. You would need a class-compliant USB audio device and an Android device that supports USB host mode. For more information on that, please visit http://www.extreamsd.com/USBAudioRecorderPRO/.
