how can you tell if komplete is full version or update?

Is there anything on the box or inside that specifies if it is the full version instead of the upgrade version? I'm getting the 2003 error saying it must be part of a bundle when trying to activate what should be the full version

there is crossgrade(u must have somethink speciffic from ni) update, upgrade and full.. i got komplete 7, 8, 9 and 8 and 9 (upgrade and update) have yellow stickers on the box.. but it can be removed so i dont know.... sorry..

My copy of 9 is an upgrade from 8 and there is nothing on the box stating that.
