Wow - I had pretty much written DrumCore off, but looks like Sonoma will be previewing it next month.

Yes, I read that with interest. I have two complete licences for DrumCore with a ton of expansion packs. I use it with jbridge on Windows 7 64bit and it is reasonably stable but not 100%. If it remains unchanged with true 64bit support it will continue to be of value. - Scotty

Looks like Sonoma is in with an official announcement about DrumCore 4 this morning.

I never 'pre-order' stuff, but I'm so eager with this one that I'm tempted.

Problem is, I also have KitCore and I don't know if the DrumCore 3 -> 4 upgrade covers that as well. Does anyone know?

Cheers

A few more details here.

Looks like they are silent on Kitcore upgrade. It is cool that they are giving a free addon pack to those that pre-order by Jan 1.

What happened to the KVR announcement that was up yesterday?

The Sonoma links in this thread still work, but there is no sign of the KC4 announcement that was up yesterday. Did someone pull it? Was it premature?

They're still working on it according to a rep in this thread:

The developers are working on getting Mac beta 5 out the door soon, which will open the beta program up to many DrumCore 4 Prime Link beta testers. If that release solid enough to be a release candidate, they can release the Mac version. Then they'll port it to Windows, which will take approximately 4 weeks. No promises on dates but this is what we are striving to do.

Just updating some links from this thread because we updated our website and forums, which broke some links in this thread, and to clarify some things.

The latest progress on DrumCore 4
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/v ... =30#p81424
DC4 Mac Beta 6 has been sent to over 250 beta testers, who are providing good feedback to support@sonomawireworks.com and to the DrumCore 4 private beta forum.
Most of the main features in Mac Beta 6 are working well. Mac Beta 7, which should be the release candidate, and adds a built-in online store for more content, will be released soon.
Windows is making great progress, and the Windows Beta will begin soon.

Thanks to all those who are participating in the beta and to all those who are sticking with us while we continue to work hard to bring you DC4. To join the beta, pre-order DrumCore 4, and we'll send you the beta once we have a version that works with your system.
Those who pre-ordered prior to January 31, 2016, here is the offer that we will honor:
https://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/ ... 043#p81043

The upgrade from KitCore 2 (MIDI only) is to DrumCore 4, which includes both MIDI and audio.

@gmontano: To clarify, KitCore 2 users do not have to upgrade to DrumCore 3 first. That is an option (for a limited time) for someone with compatible 32-bit recording software wanting to upgrade from KC2 to DC3 before upgrading to DC4 for compatible 64-bit recording software.

Upgrade info from KitCore 2, DrumCore 2.5 or DrumCore 3 to DrumCore 4 is here:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/drumcore/dc4upgrade.php

The iZotope rhythmic similarity feature is no longer being offered for DC4 at this time.

Thanks, and let us know if you have any questions.

Just a quick update on the progress of DrumCore 4 update.

DC4 Beta 7 for Mac has been sent to testers, who are providing good feedback to support@sonomawireworks.com and to the private beta forum.

Most of the main features in DC4 Beta 7 for Mac are working well, including the new DrumCore 4 built-in online store.

DC4 Beta 7 for Windows installer is being built now and will be released to testers after a bit more internal testing. It's looking really good!
