because things can change you know and no one who doesn't work for IKM has any right to criticise.neverenoughfunk wrote:i predict that the sampletank 3 release will be "announced" at NAMM in January... and the actual release date will most definitely be by the end of 2014...

If that's a reference to my saying that without knowing the code it was impossible to do anything but guess at the level of complexity of the project of a 64-bit port to the existing product, well I still stand by that and my subsequent point about the products we did update gratis. Criticize all you want, especially if neverenoughfunk ends up correct, because that would be based on something factual. Guess about the simplicity of a complex job based on zero direct knowledge of the product, well I'd suggest visiting our Jobs page and putting your money where your mouth is
If not, well then I just didn't get your joke. Sorry.

Um... I am simply comparing customer support over a range of companies and plugins. Of course I don't know the coding. I am not claiming to. I said that every other company whose products I use updated their 32 bit products with no fuss or muss. They have happy, appreciative customers who feel valued.
I appreciate that A3 and all of your other FX are 64 bit. We are not talking about these products, though. We are talking about IKM's VI's that can't be used in a 64 bit host without a 3rd party plugin as workaround.

And not every product is the same, and I've already explained the decision being made to have 64-bit be introduced with SampleTank 3.

I can only speak for myself but IK has always treated me great. I really like their products and while I don't think they are perfect they are one of my favorite software companies.

it is called a PREDICTION... if you read closely enough there is no criticizism... just a PREDICTION...neverenoughfunk wrote:i predict that the sampletank 3 release will be "announced" at NAMM in January... and the actual release date will most definitely be by the end of 2014...
by definition
pre·dic·tion /priˈdikSHən/noun
noun: prediction; plural noun: predictions
1. a thing predicted; a forecast.
if you read the title of the thread... it is... "Countdown to Sample Tank 3, with 64 bit support"... for the last 10 months we have been hearing "Sampletank 3 will be released in 2013"... my prediction is early 2014... i.e. end of the first quarter of 2014... how is that criticizing?

The only things of theirs I have bought during any of their sales was their workstations. I have the entire T-Racks line, the entire amplitube line, iRig keys, irig mic cast, and irig mix. Not sure that that matters because my enjoying their products have nothing to do with price. I have spent way less on my Native Instruments stuff and I really dislike the company NI. Their phone support guys have really turned me off on them but I still love Maschine and really like my Komplete 9 bundle.neverenoughfunk wrote:i see in your signature you own IK Total Studio... just curious how much did you spend on IK Total Studio?... because i paid $299 just for Sampletank... if i purchased my IK Multimedia products during a "Group Buy"... then they would be one of my favorite software companies too!!!KevWestBeats wrote:I can only speak for myself but IK has always treated me great. if you go to 5:22 of this video... you talk about how IK Multimedia sent you the Irig keys for review... did you have to send it back after the review and go out and buy one for yourself?
how do we know the same does not hold true for the irig mic cast and irig mix... i.e. IK Multimedia sent you these items for review...
your previous post made it appear that you purchased the Irig key... but that is not true...
therefore... how you feel about IK Multimedia may be loaded... in other words if a company is sending me stuff... i would think the world of them too...
p.s. if you keep things real... the past never comes back to haunt you!!!
double p.s. please do not delete the video!!!

I've never denied them sending me the keyboard. In fact I have been very open about it. Doesn't change me liking or not liking what they do. Seems like you are trying to take away the fact that I like what they do or trying to say maybe its tainted when I have always said I like their stuff from the moment I started dealing with their products. Or do you think they have been sending me things from day one to get me to say that lol. Do you think NI gave me a free copy of Maschine 2.0 to talk about how much I love it too? Maybe everyone gives me free products to get me to say I like it lol. Nothing is haunting me I just see one person obsessing over what someone else says on the internet. I have said it 1,000 times you sound biter as hell for some reason. You asked what of theirs I have and I told you. You have too much free time on your hands.
