Each cricket is singing, "I want to get laid!"
Something about choir music always bugged me.
How do you know they're not singing to praise the Devil? Maybe their legs just itch! Remember that noise comes from their legs. They sing from their thighs! Not lungs. So no air, no spirit, no shit.
Well, it's really is so ordinary slowed down so you have to pay attention. Insect world is always fascinating, but there is nothing indicating a cricket is reverent or a mantis is praying. That's just us and our silly imaginations making up stuff. (A mantis will play with you though just like it's a pet. That's kind of creepy to some folks. Try it though it's really cool!)
