Yes and I'd happily deliver that to bungle if so - have I acted like I wouldn't? I'd say I've been very helpful in this area with many, and honestly a license or few really isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things anyway. I'd think that if there's a reason it would come to that would be more of a disappointment but the glee I see that I'd have to - gasp - make good on something as if it was something terrible is actually amusing. I'm pretty sure bungle is an able adult with the means to point this out if that were to happen but I'm sure they are also happy that you have their back
As far as any news, let me reiterate that any news will be delivered elsewhere on one or more of our official channels from here on in, this trainwreck of a thread being a solid reason why.

Wow I remember this post now.
Peter, will you have to offer T-Racks and Amplitude ?

Would be a shame if bungle didn't get his free T-Racks CS Grand and AmpliTube 3 because someone forgot about it.

I hope Peter that users of the Total Bundle get an update for a reasonable good fair price.
I bought it in the summer and the flagship get an upgrade to version 3 with another fees :S
I hope on IK that they give users of the Total Bundle a good deal for upgrade Sampletank

Read the words (and my words above because soon I'll stop repeating myself)... There's an OR in there. And I already answered the question - bungle can get either. I'm really not that concerned either way. If it comes to that, again you'd think it would be more of an issue that it would mean there was a delay. But I can see it is more about pitchforks and torches and trying to shame someone rather than the bigger picture of the product and when it would be released. Lovely KVR. Lovely.

Either way, I'm glad someone snapped a screenshot - I could have sworn I offered up a BitWig license instead. THAT would have been awkward!hibidy wrote:BMoore wrote:Is this the BitWig thread?![]()
If so, cat pics are boring, we should have a new theme of pics. (not dogs, that's boring too)
Edit - maybe it was StudioPhonik! Wait, no, the sounds are available for that but I am not giving those away since they are through another company...
Edit 2 - AH maybe Duke Nukem Forever? Well, I know I have one copy of that since it did finally appear and I have it for XBox or something - c'mon it was like 10 bucks!

I know I am relatively old, but... if I bought a six string Fender guitar in 1986 and it worked and I liked it and Fender said it might make a 12 string guitar in 1990, I would not have ever said "Fender owes me a 12 string because my guitar I bought in 1986 only has 6! And they better deliver that free 12 string to me by December!"
"But old dude" you say, "software is different, blah, blah, blah..."
Whatever

2 Nobody is expecting anything that was referenced as "Might" it was promised (As can be seen by the fact that i am now getting two very expensive packages for free form IK)
3 Hardware/software analogies are complete stupidity and the cause of many a failed hardware companies attempt at making money from software

Let me see... I use ST to make music, and I use my guitar to make music, wow you are right that is a terrible analogy! "But old dude, your guitar isn't made obsolete by new operating systems!" Maybe I don't care because my DAW runs ST flawlessly as it is... or maybe I just have other things to do while ST3 is being developed. If somebody was losing money or something because ST3 is not out next month I might see the reason for the bitch fest but I just don't get it as it stands. I am a bad musician/hobbyist and I have more tools than I need...I don't feel cheated or lied to in any way by IK, they don't owe me anything. For the record, my experience with IK customer service has been very good and I own quite a bit of their stuff, however, I probably won't buy ST3. Even if I did really want it, I still wouldn't feel entitled to have it "NOW!!!!!" But I get it IK=Evil Corporation TM...bungle wrote:1 Nobody is talking about free updates here, paid updatesbobbackwards wrote:I know I am relatively old, but... if I bought a six string Fender guitar in 1986 and it worked and I liked it and Fender said it might make a 12 string guitar in 1990, I would not have ever said "Fender owes me a 12 string because my guitar I bought in 1986 only has 6! once again, whatever.
In all seriousness, I do applaud your desire to give to charity, that is a very classy thing to do.

So, how many days until 2014?
I'm rooting for IKM as long as I can on this one.
Just played it again today. At this point, it is my sample player of choice. Above Dimension and even more usable than Kontakt (Although I prefer the percussion in Kontakt and Battery for direct playing).
Just know there are some of us not hitting this thread (or the other forums) to blast IKM, Peter & Obi and see how far the forum can be pushed before being banned again.

Sometimes I wonder if that guitar analogy has another perspective for the malcontented? For instance, maybe they expect their software to appreciate in value like many guitars do?
I'm personally stoked these days that they hold some value. In the late 80's to the mid 90's, you bought software and as soon as the box was opened it was worthless.

yeah, and on top of it you can sell your guitar without asking fender if you allowed to do so or even better buying a resale license bla bla..bobbackwards wrote:I know I am relatively old, but... if I bought a six string Fender guitar in 1986 and it worked and I liked it and Fender said it might make a 12 string guitar in 1990, I would not have ever said "Fender owes me a 12 string because my guitar I bought in 1986 only has 6! Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
