Does anyone know if your DAW has to be connected to the internet for authorisation or whether it can be done on another computer? Anyone know anything about any forthcoming demo version?

At least for the moment, an internet connection is required on the DAW.

Presumably the plugin can be de-activated and moved to a different partition? Or at least, we can contact support to request that?

I think one activation per computer is a bit tight. Three activations would be much better. See Modartt, Toontrack, etc.

How many people work for Palm? It doesn't look like a big operation. Sounds like someone doesn't want to have to provide the customer support for additional licenses.

seems like he's been spoiled by iOS development. He's not the only dev either, the Apple store way of thinking {ie no upgrade pricing etc} certainly suits the bean counter mentality.

also this: "Prices include European sales tax where applicable."
does that mean the advertised 99euro price DOESN'T include VAT ? Can a european who's purchased this confirm what the actual cost is ?

I don't think any rational person who is aware of this clause will buy it, given the fragility of computers and computer setups. Someone needs to contact Mr. Palm and see if he can be persuaded to change this.

Your copy protection / authorisation renewal rules are insane. And framing the issue as "Owners Who Need A Replacement Licence" is a misnomer. In this scenario, they don't need a new license. They need a new AUTHORISATION. I won't be making a purchase.

I responded: One renewal...given the fallibility of computer systems and the ever present prospect of a more powerful new computer? I agree...something must change here.

Also, just in case this isn't clear (or self-evident) - you can install it on the same machine (read: OS/hard drive combination) as often as you want. That includes updates, of course.
