On XP with IE whatever, I can't see the download link so I just forced it onto the web.archive and tried it from there. The download shows up but zippyshare is robots'd. So I had to copy the link and ditch the archive part to be able to download.
It's been a looooooooooooooong couple of days waiting for this, lol.
Anyway, thanks Mastercode, much appreciated.

Great idea, it would be extremely awesome if we were able to load any drumloop and it would be auto-sliced and key-mapped like this. Don't know any free SE plugins that can do that

Up until this day, I still wonder how that snare sound was created in the first place. The kick is a typical bob type one - but the snare... still driving me crazy.

...that particular set of mics/recording, that particular mixing desk/mixing, that particular room/drummer/drum set - then it's probably not that hard...Compyfox wrote:Up until this day, I still wonder how that snare sound was created in the first place.
...and it's probably best not to comment on the sense and legality of this plug-in - so, sorry for chiming in...
(to clarify: the plug-in is free, but it's not legal to distribute the sample and the Winstons are not OK with the use of their drumloop. some sample manufacturers actually removed the loop from thier libraries because of that - at least, as far as I know)

I was just thinking the exact same thing. The ability to load in loops would be superb. I like it as it is though, thanks for the freebie.Nielzie wrote:Great idea, it would be extremely awesome if we were able to load any drumloop and it would be auto-sliced and key-mapped like this. Er, I've got at least two other VSTis with this as its raison d'etre.Mastrcode wrote:Hello together. Mastrcode Music proudly presents the world's first pure "Amen Break" drum machine in form of a Drum Synthesizer VST plugin: the "DB-Force The Amen"! No more wasting Your time with slicing and re-arranging Your Amen Break wave file. Just load up this VSTi and make beats!:D
More info's HERE
Quick tip No.1:
Use the Amen break slowed down to f**k for hip hop.
Quick tip No.2:
Use the Funky Drummer break sped up to f**k for drum and bass.
Mix and match. No one will ever know you cheated.
But Kudos all the same. You can never have too much Amen! And Funky Drummer!

Interesting idea but seriously, if someone can't chop an amen themselves, I don't hold out high hopes for them being able to do something interesting with breaks. Also, by sampling and cutting yourself, you've got the chance to make something more unique. How you cut the break is as important as what you cut.
And once you've taken the 2-20 minutes (depending on experience) to perform the cuts, you have it for keeps. Hardly a "waste of time" methinks
Still, this might be a good way for those who aren't inclined to get their hands dirty with a sampler to be able to make something with the amen, it might even be a gateway drug for some people and get them interested in sampling more.
