Hello all,

We have great news!
As of now you can download the latest update for Cubasis and a free iOS synth called Nanologue. Used as stand-alone and in connection with your iOS host application via Inter-App Audio, Nanologue brings the power of VST 3 technology to the iOS platform.
I hope you enjoy this free perk and have a lot of fun playing with it.

For our iPad Air users I recommend to download the update for Nanologue. 1.0.1 which enables iPad Air support.

Best regards,
GN

slightly misleading title, perhaps 'lost in translation'
Cubasis isnt free, before anyone gets excited ;)

hehehe! Almost got me. I though it was something along the lines of a free cubasis with in-app purchases.

Nanologue's a welcomed addition. Thanks!
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Very impressive update. Really nice to see MIDI sequencing directly from Cubasis!

Yup- iOS is now a real platform for DAWS with the type of VST/VSTi integration we are used to on PCs and MACs. Game Changer.

nanologue is ok, not too many features but free. I may create soundbank for it as well.
I am more impressed with Cubasis, it may be leading app soon (with automation and sidechain).

Btw:Nanologue uses Vst3 technology. What does it mean?

Can you explain this? I thought Cubasis already had MIDI sequencing. What is different? I don't yet have Cubasis, so my direct knowledge of the app is lacking.

Any plans for another "sensational $15 discount" on Cubasis?

The previous version 1.6 had MIDI sequencing but for internal instruments only.

v1.7 lets you can create an instance of any IAA enabled iOS app on a MIDI track to sequence directly from Cubasis. The only thing missing now is multiple instances of apps, and save / recall for "apps as plugins".

I think this makes Cubasis the best iOS DAW software by a long shot.

Peace,
Andy.

Great update and Nanologue is a very nice freebie :)

No not internal only. In 1.6 we were able to send midi to other synths and use AB to record them. Actually there are fewer synths with IAA to choose from than with AB so there is not much gained.

Oh, OK thanks. I had no idea!

Actually Cubasis have had AB support since v.1.1 and it performs amazingly well if you know how to tame your sounds so they use minimum cpu. I made a short user report on it's performance

and in this respect it is definitely the best DAW around IMO.

Cheers

The new update to Cubasis is awesome. All that is needed now is Automation and support for IAA for synth apps like Sunrizer and the Korg synths.
