Hi
Just want to share the fact that Cubasis seems to be the best performer on my iPad 2. iOS7 is a ram eater and ever since I installed it, I have to clean up my ram with memory manager HD way too often. Consequently I have also noticed an overall decrease in performance as far as the numbers of synths playing at the same time though audiobus concerns. However, where BM2, Meteor and Ntrack studio hardly can handle just two synths (controlled with their midi) running through audiobus and some internal drums, Cubasis perform really good in comparison. Thus, i have managed to run
1. two internal tracks with drums and a retrologue bass +
2. iSEM running a monophonic bass sequence +
3. Both synths from Megallan running respectively a melody line and chord stabs +
4. Syncing with Rebirth with both 303s running + the 808.
And it works. That is pretty impressing considering other DAWs I have tried. I would say that it may even be up to three or four times the performance as others.
I have also noticed that multitimbral synths like iPolysix and Yamaha Synth and Dr. Pad equally works great wth Cubasis and can have many tracks running at the same time.
I look forward to my ipad mini 2 now. This should boost performance even more. So if you like to wait to bounce tracks until it is absolutely necesarry like I do, I can highly recommend set ups like these.
I am curious about how iPad 3 and 4 manage in this respect, so plz share any performance reports if you have some.
Cheers
BTW: To sync Rebirth with Cubasis you have to activate your midi network by virtue of Genome because it can not sync directly to it's midi output. If you need further instructions, give a hint and I will explain.
Fine performance with Cubasis and iPad 2

Haven't gone to 7 yet, so thanks for the warning on RAM usage.
