Use a youtube.com - based link instead of youtu.be. These are automatically embedded.

PPG WaveGenerator requires a Mac or PC computer with an Intel Core CPU 1.83 GHz processor or faster.
Is this 'written in stone'? :?
That a machine which is guaranteed to run it without breaking into sweat.

The basic requirements that should be sufficient to run it are lower.
I've just tested it on an AMD Sempron 2200+ (that's a single-core 1.5GHz) / 1GB machine running XP; works, too, but it's eating quite a lot of processing power there. I'm not entirely sure whether highly complex programs with lots of voices can be run without glitches.

In general, faster is better here, but the number of cores/processors is not so relevant. It just helps if you come close to the magical 100% CPU barrier 8-)
Thank you. Indeed. I run OC'd quad Phenom II (BE) processors in my current machines, and I was just a bit surprised with how it was stated, without further minimum-spec requirements, e.g. "SSE" or Open-GL (etc) qualifiers. Response to the query from Mr. Palm:
hi, yes AMD too, it just needs to have the intel instruction set.

Does anyone know a software for Win 7 to take pictures of samples to make this then be able to import in WG? How the Acoustic Picture Transmitter for iPad?

The original license from yesterdays release allowed users only a single activation, ever.

It's now been updated to be more reasonable.
Actually i'm pretty sure it was more a matter of the dev not having thought through the whole process enough. I was quite amused about the hysteric reactions here, maybe a simple support request to change the method would've been enough, instead of the usual "I'm so not going to buy this... :( :( :(". Oh well, i guess that's the spirit of our time... all drama obama.

Sorry for bitter post, i'm already mid 30's now. :D

Does it not have the 3D editor?

Post

No, it hasn't.

I for one can easily understand all the negativity. Lately dealing with copy protection sh1t is becoming a full-time chore. Two activations ever - give me a break! No way I would ever consider something like that a good deal. If devs want severe and limiting CP then they should lower the price a lot as then it would not feel like I'm throwing my money away. Want to have two activations ever? Sure, but I would consider the fair price for something like that to be more like <5-10$. End of story.

You'll get more than 2 reactivations, the problem is that you have to contact them. C/R is terrible in many ways, I can't blame anyone who decides not to buy software because of it. It's just a case of "is it worth the hassle" (I say yes, because it's an awesome, unmatched instrument) and "what's the risk level?" (I believe it's minimal in this case).

I just bought WaveGenerator and there are some very cool sounds and, apparently, an almost limitless potential for even cooler sounds.

One feature I just can't understand. The Arp always starts running as soom as I select a patch with an arp. I would've thought that it would be much more useful to have the arp start defult on key down, with Hold as an option.

Any ideas how to change this, in my view not very useful, behaviour?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Just in time for the Christmas Season (which out here starts in July) a new god vsti is born.

WP has always come off as a good guy, and quite generous (didn't he give a soft synth away maybe a year ago?). Interesting discussion about importing/exporting, folks, but you're dealing with a gentle genius; he may be implementing rather esoteric thinking into the design/implementation/execution of his new baby that would preclude I/o to software/hardware.

Yeah: was thinking about if I could use his content with the Blofeld myself...

It depends on the buttons under the Arptor. Click the one on the far right, with the downward arrow. That will give you what you want. The one to the left of that will cause the Arptor to play and hold when you play a key.
