Wow, that's great! I have some ideas for pitch bend melodies for the track I'm working on, and was actually trying to come up with a way to simulate it. Thanks for the ADSR2 tip RichardSemper, will have to try that too.

I think a 2 octave pitch range both ways configurable by semitones will cover most needs. I haven't seen a synth with separate values for up and down, but some may find it useful.

BTW thought I'd share a tip for Ableton Live users who are having problems getting automation to work. By default Live only shows parameters for plugins that have less than 32 assignable parameters. If a plugin has more, they wont show up (to avoid clutter in the device view I guess). Usually you learn automatable parameters by clicking learn, then push the dial on the gui, then that parameter will become available. For some reason it seems Live is not responding to changes in the gui, so automation can't be set up in this manner.
The solution is to tell Live to auto-populate the plugin parameter list even though a plugin has more than 32 parameters. You have to create a text file called "Options.txt" in the same folder where Live's Preferences.cfg file is located telling Live to change the behavior. Put this text in the text file:

-_PluginAutoPopulateThreshold=-1

Voila, next time you boot Live and load Tunefish or other VSTs, all 128 parameters will be available for automation from Live or external midi.

Here's the official faq about the options file and what you can do with it:

I suppose so, too. It can't hurt. Except it is 2 clicks more for people who want them in sync ;)

I cannot believe I made what? 3 updates to Tunefish while sitting in a train to Berlin :) Mobile technology is awesome!

It has many "bugs", sometimes it doesn't sound good etc, its only what I have make until now, and I wouldn't have enough time to finish it.
Awesome sound design, cinematic scope. Real shame you cannot complete in time. I would LOVE to hear it finished!

Awesome :) Will hopefully try it later tonight. Techy times indeed, loving these quick updates!

Its not only the mobile technology! Great update, and really intuitive too :tu:
Thanks :)

Very cool 8). About pitchbend I vote to keep configurable and separate values for up and down, this is a practical thing I've used several times before (typically for 2 down, 1 up setting). I think most or all u-he synths have this but so has many others like Predator etc.

lemmike, thanks for that. That's been a real bugbear for me all month. Now I can get to work. :D

Maybe it's that weird ADSR2 with R much bigger than D. Does it click regardless of the triggering note's length?

It's the highpass filter *, just play the note longer.

* payne knows about this

One thing remember to backup up your currently non used sounds you designed when copy a new version  Well that will teach me not to do things while tired sigh.

Hey, for what it's worth you're not alone there my friend.

In the early stages did this and also managed to wipe a bunch of sounds just through no understanding the built-in patch management system.

Recently I have taken to saving the patches to a folder direct from the Host (Podium) as .fxp. At least this effectively gives me a "Save as" function. I can always start a new project and import them to a new instance/bank later.

While I'm here, can anyone clarify the function of Mod1 to Mod4 in the Mod matrix? I have used these in some patches but will confess that I am not entirely sure how the work

Oh and by that I mean that I have no idea at all :P

They should not do anything actually :) Tunefish was done for use in our groups computer animations, and those 4 are there so the animation engine can control certain values. In any DAW they're useless.
