Extreme sample converter? If so I don't think it's supported any longer. The developer have been invisible for ages. The site is still up though.TheoM wrote:I think there was someone who started that and IK gave them a cease and desist. I actually remember he had fully done St1 to Kontakt. It's still available but i can't quite remember the name.
Countdown to Sample Tank 3, with 64 bit support

Yeah, I double-checked later with their official FB-page, the same news there, at least a handfull of people over there was asking the same obvious questions about the "2013 promisses", I see that by now these posts have been deleted byNumanoid wrote:Impossible
I'm quite sure that IK staff (see the OP) have confirmed earlier that "read my lips" : ST3 will be launched by the end of 2013

i believe in my earlier posts in this thread... i used the phrase..."Stringing Along"... i am not sure what "Stringing Along" is by definition... but this looks like a case of it!!!Numanoid wrote:Impossible

again... for the moderators... not sure where the line is between the "truth" and "trolling"... i honest believe i am speaking the truth!!! but then again... could be wrong... all i know is my intent is not to "troll"... but the search of the "truth"!!! i.e. IK Multimedia has been promising Sampletank 3 for about 5 years now... for the last 10 months we have been hearing end of 2013... all i am saying is that this scenario has the same flavor as the previous 5 years... again... not sure it that is "trolling" but that is how i feel!!!

again... "facts"... not sure if "facts" is "trolling"...
i am almost afraid to post... cant tell the differences between "facts" and "trolling"...

For those just joining in, here is a thread summary...
* Some folks REALLY don't like IKM.
* ST3 is not going to be out when Peter said it would be.
* Bungle is getting some free shit as a result.
* There is not going to be a free player.
That's it, can we all go on to the next bitch fest please? Hey I know! Let's talk about how awesome/shitty Reaper is!!!

neverenoughfunk, your posts do qualify as trolling.
that never happened. they never advertised the group buys to be a way of getting a free x64 update. i don't know where you got that from. you pride yourself on "telling facts" - well, guess what, you just lied. just for the record. and what's up with that whole "IK having an active web presence is a bad thing"? i'd say it's quite the opposite - it's a *great* thing. i don't know how backwards your logic has to be to even suggest such a thing.you do not see them mis-informing/lying to their customer base i.e. buy the group buy and get a free update to 64-bit player
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Personally, I still like the program and garner more respect for it each time I open it up. In fact, I wish Kontakt would implement some of ST and Aria layouts into their GUI to make it easier to work with. (Then it would just be about finding the third party samples that make it better, because I do believe the sampling overall should be better).
Of course, I'm not feeling the sting of depreciation like those expressing their bitterness at every opportunity they can. But I can use it until the wheels drop off and move on to whatever is out there at that time.
Also, I don't see general projections as clear promises anymore and just look at the facts I have at hand. Good product works, company appears to be working on improving it.
I continued to use EMU even after it began its steady decline into the abyss.
And It's the only piece of VSTI software I own that has stopped working for me because of technology (unless you count that crap Spectra-Atmosphere sitting in the back of the drawer).

i was under the impression from this thread that ik multimedia had promised a 64-bit player for individuals who brought during the group buys... for me personally... i brought their products at full price... my concerns "were" the upgrade path...Burillo wrote: that never happened. they never advertised the group buys to be a way of getting a free x64 update. i don't know where you got that from.
i do pride myself with the truth... for the record... again... for the record there is a difference between a 64-bit free player -vs- ik multimedia stating for more than 5 years that Sampletank 3 is coming... but if you want to split hair... YOU WIN... "for the record"... ok?you pride yourself on "telling facts" - well, guess what, you just lied. just for the record.
first off... i would like to say... no ones logic is like "yours"... hopefully... just... hopefully... one day!!! i will be at your level... but then again... i would have to live more than likely another billion years... having a active web presence and "Stringing Along" your customer base are two different things (in my backwards logic)... Specstrasonic has a active web presence too but "never" heard Eric "String Along" his customer base... that is the difference for me... even though it is backward logic in your eyes...and what's up with that whole "IK having an active web presence is a bad thing"? i'd say it's quite the opposite - it's a *great* thing. i don't know how backwards your logic has to be to even suggest such a thing.
going forward... i will not respond to your posts... because individuals like you get me BANNED... therefore... i rather walk away...
p.s. my backwards logic does work sometimes... i predicted Sampletank 3 will be announced at NAMM.. remember... my backwards logic sez... Sampletank 3 will be released end of first quarter...
you enjoy your day and holidays too... ok?

The real shame here is that the malcontents have blasted the IKM sales/support out so that we probably won't get the 'better than twitter' information (regardless if it is news or schmooze, a mind of reason can filter through it).
