No one can wait 2+ years, it's just so many time..3ee wrote:We've been over this!
Bitwig simply can NOT be vaporware... you just need to be patient as DAWs take time to build, especially a feature rich + (guessing)quality one like Bitwig.
I bet you don't even feel that Bitwig is vaporware ..you're just sad you're not getting any atm!![]()
It's just a phase, find something else to do, simple as that!

Even though they are working, it doesn't mean it will be released, so...Ogopogo wrote:Taking a long time to come out =/= vapourware. Read the thread and you will see that they are working on it as we speak.
No, but 2+ years... people start to think.Ogopogo wrote:Anything that is not released yet is better thought of as vapourware?
It's nice to see your "happy waiting" feeling... I want to trust your words, but, well, I don't know..Ogopogo wrote:It is coming together quite nicely.
Nobody who is doing any actual thinking would call it vapourware...Regnas wrote:No, but 2+ years... people start to think.Ogopogo wrote:Anything that is not released yet is better thought of as vapourware?
Have you read the thread? Seriously you can see what they are doing beta by beta and it does not look like they are having troubles at all. You really don't have to take my word for it.Regnas wrote:No, but 2+ years... people start to think.Ogopogo wrote:Anything that is not released yet is better thought of as vapourware? It's nice to see your "happy waiting" feeling... By the way, Virtual DJ is following the same "vaporware" way, VDJ 8 is taking too long, and people are jumping out the ship.. sad
Ok, so for goodness' sake, I think december would be the ultimate deadline for Bitwig, otherwise... you know the drill... (the vapour will riseOgopogo wrote:Have you read the thread? You do realize that building up a new architecture and all of its components from scratch is significantly more challenging and time consuming than later adding onto that foundation right? Maybe when they release 3.0 you'll have a better frame of reference to base your conjecture on versioning timelines. Until then these kinds of statements just come across as whiney and defeatist.Regnas wrote:Ok, so for goodness' sake, I think december would be the ultimate deadline for Bitwig, otherwise... you know the drill... Oh, and if the initial release will be 1.0, imagine how many time/years will be needed for a 2.0 release...?
