Goodie or Goldie? A must-have or something I can live without?

It's one of those types of plug-ins that will probably always be useful. It introduces low frequency harmonics to help bass sounds be more audible on speakers and/or headphones that can't reproduce the lowest fundamental. I've owned the Ren collection in the past and liked RBass. It handles bass boosts differently than EQ alone.

Can these low freq harmonics be layered "under" a kick, for example?Tronam wrote:It's one of those types of plug-ins that will probably always be useful. Possibly. I haven't tried to use it that way, but it does allow you to dial down the frequency to 32hz. I'm guessing it would then create harmonics at 64hz and 96hz respectively. They make another plugin called LoAir which might be closer to what you'd want, creating frequencies below the fundamental.Tricky-Loops wrote:Can these low freq harmonics be layered "under" a kick, for example?

You guys are in for a treat with this!
When I was looking into something like this I demoed everything. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING does what renbass does.
Lucky dogs! (I paid 40 bucks for mine, but it was worth it)
Oh, and preemptive "neener to all the people complaining about a free product" stuff that's coming

Yeah I have to wonder about what's behind that...hibidy wrote:Oh, and preemptive "neener to all the people complaining about a free product" stuff that's coming
Been eyeballing this plug for a long time, but I've never even demo'd it. WTF is wrong with me?

I'd say it's a definite step up from last year.
