If a moderator combed through this thread and filtered out everything but actual verified beta information and screenshots, I wonder how long it would be.

Perhaps we could start a serious Bitwig discussion thread? Nobody wants to read through 167 pages of cats.
It's a damn shame about the sidechaining, I love Vocodex! I hope they plan to get it implemented, it's essential for a lot of people.

There was one. It lasted two posts.virtualmark wrote:Perhaps we could start a serious Bitwig discussion thread? Nobody wants to read through 167 pages of cats.

That's posts, not pages.

"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Since this is an open forum and thread, it's the decision of everybody who participates what direction it takes.
One can squirt venom on the Bitwig developers, tell the world how totally they suck, how utterly long it takes and all the other stuff we've been through. That serves no real purpose but seems satisfying for some peoples personal ego (or "pain body" if you should happen to know Eckhart Tolle
). Each such comment then spawns several replies either in defence or piling it on.
Or you can discuss certain features, ask questions or tell what you find interesting about BWS from what's known so far, what you think or hope that it may solve in your workflow or what things you might miss. Some people seem happy enough with their lives to be able to do just that without adding judgements.
Such feedback may even find the ear of one of the developers if it's stated in a way that makes sense and clearly shows what and why it's important for a large group of potential users, not only you personally.
Or just say nothing at all when there's nothing to say
That is totally valid.
It seems not many people realize how utterly funny some statements are. "I will not wait for Bitwig" was one that had me smiling half a day - pure Zen. Or "I don't trust them since it takes so long". If you think it through, it's completely free of any meaning. Brilliant.
As you know, I tend to fill the void with philosophical thoughts.
Others post Cats, which I personally find totally fine, since it is exactly what it is, fun to while away the time...
So with every posting, everyone of us makes a decision...
It's your choice.
Carpe Diem,
Tom
