NO ONE KNOWS. :D

Actually, it's a field mod that went on sometimes that shorts a center-tap resistor to ground. The consequence is different law and gain-q interaction. It's pretty subtle most of the time, but you might like it.

I have 2 silly FR's:

1. A overwrite notice if I'm saving a preset, just to make sure I don't erase a previous version. I've lost a few setups that way.
Usually the OS should do that for you :/
Are you talking about when you hit Save, and up pops the OS dialog box?
Alas, as soon as you're interacting with that box, you're in windows/macos land, and it's kinda out of my hands :/
That said, once you've selected the file, I /could/ check whether it's there, and hit you with a confirm box.

2. A user writable scribble strip (6-10 chars, whatever fits) at the bottom of the band strips for personal notes and/or indications. Toggle in prefs for it too. Use a hand script font if you want to get fancy... ;)

Simply amazing....
We did talk about doing something like that... that could well come back. Just a label for "boom" and "click" and "nasal". :D

Right but I just confirmed that ALL of your plugins do this under Win7-64. I tested them all. Other devs' plugins ask to overwrite, but for some reason yours don't. Weird! What makes it worse is that I started working with the
"hover-selects / single-click activates" mouse mode lately, so the overwrite is inevitable (I got tired of double-clicking...).

Ignorant question... please don't flame me.

First, some background: the past couple of years Equality has been my go-to EQ. I find I can sculpt a sound pretty well with it (to my ears anyway), better and quicker than I can with anything else I've tried, and I've never been less than really happy with it.

I've been off KVR for a while, and for some reason never got an email from Dave about Equilibrium, so am only now hearing about it.

Now, I'm much more of a singer who mixes his own stuff than a full-blown audio engineer (in fact I'm nowhere near the latter). I really tend to work by ear, and am otherwise pretty ignorant. Terms like "Pultec" mean nothing to me. So I'm not sure I'd know what to do with all the options Equilibirum has.

So, in light of this: am I really missing out on something extraordinary if I stick with Equality? I don't need the best EQ ever made, but rather just something which is pretty f*cking awesome sounding and usable, which for me describes Equality.

Not at all - EQuilibrium isn't intended to make either of our other EQ's redundant and there are plenty of users that are better suited to EQuick or EQuality. We always knew that for some users EQuilibrium would be far too highly spec'ed, so if you're a happy EQuality user and don't crave any further features from it there's no reason to move up to EQuilibrium.

For those that need more, there's some exciting new features coming soon for EQuilibrium.

Thanks for that very honest answer, Krzysztof, it just adds another layer to DMG's already high credibility!

So, no major new features or anything. This is really a stability update. But quite a stability update. ;)
A +LOT+ of bugfixing and bugfinding went into this one. :)

Just been brought to my attention:

- ( Mac + VST3 + 32bit + Host that supports both Carbon and Cocoa UIs ), the UIs don't show.
(Edit: This specifically means Cubase 32bit on Mac. If this update affects you, switch to the VST2 until this afternoon!)

I've just fixed this and will push the fix this afternoon.

Investigating.

Amazing how much test you can apply to something to still get different results in the real world.
I genuinely am sorry for the inconvenience, and perhaps naively, I'm a little surprised.

I'll endeavour to get an update which fixes this out this afternoon.
