meh, we all fell for another tilt at the justification
for this thread ...

maybe the troll is part of viking culture..

20 years might be pushing it a bit though for VST (won't be
long though: '98? 99? when was first?)

Seems like this is ripe for a wiki type page, where anyone signed in to the wiki can edit the list. Those plugins that are dead-linked will be found and can be culled from the list or perhaps there's a different link where they can be found and that URL put in place. It's not impossible, it's how Wikipedia works at it's core.

It might even be worthy of a wikipedia page - as long as the distribution rights and so forth are stated. For one person or even a list of volunteers managed out of this mega-thread to do it without a wiki-like editing capability which can be constantly updated, it's going to be a monster of a task.

Auto Panner, Choirus, Espacial and Stereo Echo were all part of the original SDK Steinberg released in 1996: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Studio_Technology

So yeah the 20th anniversary is not very far way at all!

plugin categories by year? d*mn, didn't realise eidenk's table
didn't have the links - but bobwood's does; some day kids will
be able to search VST plugins by all manner of categorisation
once those two are merged. don't really fancy taking that on, myself

does anyone have Fretted Synth's Softdrum with sf2?(not the wavloader
version)

But the kuangzn effects as they are, are EXTREMELY LOUD and NASTY to use in FLStudio10 on Win7, they don't work as effects and seem purely designed as an attack on my hearing. Truly the most uncomfortable things I ever tried to use on a pc. Binned.
