Watch out with these... they're known to burn out.

Apart from that, you will need a special kind of power connection, because the battery in it is so big and powerful, that it can't be charged with the normal connections you have in your home. Also, due to the heavy battery (800 kg's so i read), it will weigh a lot, which will have a negative effect on the handling, and you don't want that in a sports car. And so on.

Actually the idea to power a car by battery is as old as the car itself almost, and there never was a breakthrough. Too many problems. Nowadays, they mainly build those out of marketing aspects.
