Two things I'm looking forward to trying out: updated score editor and loopMash fx!

Looks like a few really useful enhancements
What I want to know is how much it costs? It rather affects my choice about what Xmas toys to buy myself!

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Yay! What an update . Now i couldnt find some infos on "bounce in place", if this is new or not.
And the price is important for the update from C7 pro version. Seems i am out of grace period. Thanks.

Guillermo: Does the eLicenser check for grace period updates after December 4, or should we be seeing the licence appear now?
That's me... but I see nothing when clicking Maintenance.Steinberg website wrote:Cubase 7 or Cubase Artist 7 activation between Oct 15 and Dec 3, 2013

Hello all,
In European countries that use the Euro as currency it will have a price around 49.99 Euros. In other countries it might vary depending on the exchange rate, vat, etc...
Best regards,
GN

I assume that is the price for the update from Cubase 7 because if that is the price the whole thing it really does change everything! - I guess that is a sale to me anyway. Now what to not buy myself????

I wonder whether Steinberg finally realized, that in a drum sampler you would want to stack/layer multiple drum sounds on one key in order to create your own unique drums (classical example: layering a 808 kick under a accoustic kick sample). It's shocking, but this very basic feature was missing in the former version of Groove Agent SE!!! Can anyone tell me, whether they implemented this basic feature in the updated version of Groove Agent SE?

A couple of small work flow enhancements and a ton more unnecessary filler...
Groove Agent SE 4, HALion Sonic SE 2, LoopMash FX, the REVelation reverb and many more… items that you will never use if you have any half descent VSTs...
I really wish Steinberg would concentrate on the DAW not the periphery stuff, but I guess that's what marketing wants...

Called it.
But instead of keeping it at one place, let's open like 10 new threads.
So far, from the update only one particular thing is interesting me.
Question:
Does that mean the instrument rack was dropped now? Or just the Instrument Track being updated in general?
Though saving track controls (Quick Controls) and the Inspector got a slight update as well. Could be intersting - if the programmers didn't break it.
Another Questions:
Where is the enhancement and bugfix list?
Was the stupid Insert Handling (Overlay Buttons for both EQ and inserts) dropped? (amongst other things, the higest FR by users!)
WHat about backwards compatibility? For example: if I create something in Halion Sonic SE2 (C7.5) but load the Project in Cubase LE7.0 With HSSE1?
Everything else: Loopmash, new "sample content", Magneto II, already VST Connect SE2, Groove Agent SE4 - I don't need that, I have my own VST/VSTi. Why?!
So what about the bugs and the FRs?
From current presentation, it doesn't look to me as if Steinberg listened to any FR other than the Instrument Channel. It is just a paid update for content again, nothing that actually matters (fixing bugs, porting feature requests, etc). So if you want to update from 7.5, you pay 250EUR alltogether - for barely anything. Those who want to stick to C7.0x now know "hay - bugfixes? pft... buy C7.5". Wow.
I knew that I don't need to expect much, but this is even worse than 6.5.
So word of advice, Steinberg, drop that interim payment BS!
People don't want to shell out 50bucks every year for VST/VSTi they don't even want or need(!). You still didn't understand the concept of "Damage Control".
Oh and... the grace period shrinked down to 21 days as well. Okay, cool.
Furthermore - what about Cubase AI/LE/Elements in terms of 7.5?
When will users see that?
So much marketing hype yet again, and such a great lack of information.

Which was about darn time!Instrument (t)rack 2.0: Supports multi-outputs and multi-inputs, and merges instrument tracks with the Instrument Rack
