And great to see Magneto back! I understand the frustration when something doesn't work for you. Every DAW has bugs and all have pluses and minuses that we have to weigh.
For me, Cubase works.
For me, Cubase works.

Just so.Compyfox wrote:Though I don't troll people and constantly point out that they talk out of their backside, or might have mental issues or something. I am a mere paying user that is disastisfied with what the heck is going on. And this is a webboard, where you can write your opinion.
Complaining isn't trolling, complaining isn't even (necessarily) whining. Complaining that an update didn't address what one needs addressed is on topic in a thread about that update. The people so bothered by Compyfox's posts (or SODDI's for that matter) that they'd like them to stop could easily a)mute him or b)just scroll past the posts. There's no need to post accusations of trolling (which no one here uses correctly anyway), no need to post a psychological diagnosis. And there's really no need for anyone to follow anyone around from thread to thread doing these things. Just stop, please.
P.S.-Re: ZINO and "f**k off Steinberg"--it's not ideal, and I'd rather you (ZINO) didn't make a habit of it (and if that's your entire contribution to the discussion, why bother?), but it is also directed at a company not a person and doesn't really merit a ban.
No longer a moderator.

It's not that i have to stalk you... you're all over every Steinberg thread, no matter what the topic is...Compyfox wrote:It's less of a worse obsession over trying desperately to get something to run properly - than stalking people and calling them to be "out of their minds".chk071 wrote:Anyway, pointless to answer on any of the points you make anyway. You are obsessed, face it.

The announcement on steinberg.net says Cubase and Cubase Artist 7.5, so i guess that answers your question.killmaster wrote:Do all the 7.5 updates apply to Artist and the full version? It doesn't specify on the "What's new in Cubase 7.5" page. I'm an Artist user.

Certainly not always for shredding their software apart, but also to help. So does SJ_Digriz btw - we two seem to be the only people to actually try to help Cubase users in here.chk071 wrote:It's not that i have to stalk you... you're all over every Steinberg thread, no matter what the topic is...
Oh wait - doesn't count. You only see me critisize them.
The small praises and the helpful posts are being overlooked.
Then again, should the ASIO issue being fixed in the near future(!), I wouldn't be surprised if I don't hear even one slight "thanks to those that insisted on bugfixing and helped tracking down the bug".
There is a German saying, I'm sure you know that as local:
"You can't make it right for everyone."

I am done with steinberg.
They even lied knowlingly on their customers, when they insisted on their old board, that there will be a final SX3 Bugfix update only hours before they announced on their HP that they have scrapped this promised update.
You can't tell me that the Steinberg-moderators did not know that at that time..

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I'm very interested to understand a little more about the instrument track enhancements.
Say for example I had a VSTi with 16 outputs (1 for each midi channel). Will it be possible to now create 16 "instrument tracks" which map the appropriate midi and audio channel on each track so that MIDI, VSTi automation and audio channel settings (inserts and sends) can now be made on each track. Or is there still this 3 way split mentality (MIDI + VSTi channel + Audio output channel)?
I have to say that as a Cubase 6.5 user, the mixer in all videos I have seen still looks pretty horrible aesthetically. The mute / solo buttons also still lack consistency in the mixer vs arrange views, unlike 6.5 and earlier where things were more coherent and consistent across views.
I think I will stick to 6.5 a bit longer depending on what these new VST rack / instruments have brought to the table. I can't say that I need most other new features.
Lack of bounce in place and better freeze is probably the biggest thing I would like to see improved (along with the return of the Cubase 6.5 mixer appearance and style).

That's true, even if option 'b' still takes a couple of hours every day to be completed.D.H. Miltz wrote:The people so bothered by Compyfox's posts (or SODDI's for that matter) that they'd like them to stop could easily a)mute him or b)just scroll past the posts.
But the real issue is about destroyed threads, every single Steinberg one. Kvr is not a convenient source of information about Steinberg products any more. It's just like when you have so many spam in your mail every day that you just change your email address.

It depends on what you consider "convenient source"...
Marketing Babble and straight lying into your face? (which can be had/found on the Steinberg page as well)
Or users actually testing and reporting what works and what not?
Apples and Oranges...

Really I do not mind when someone needs to vent especially when core issues are involved. But many of the posts here seem very bitter. It is like the posters have gone through a divorce with Steinberg.
My music is critical to me...my tools to make it are far less critical...give me two sticks, a voice, and something to drink.
