That's nice. What I want to know is that same functionality available in the midi editor as well? If not, has anyone at BW hinted that it might become available?

Yes, it is available for Midi editor

It would also be pretty useful if that same dialog could be used against other items in the strip like, maybe the onset setting, or the pan setting. That could give a static sequence a little off-beat feel. I dunno...just rambling a bit...
I believe it can...

Makes sense anyway IMO and since you can superimpose multiple layers, it's much more contextual than in Live.
Can you superimpose multiple audio layers?

I am not sure about that... from the video, it appears that the Bitwig envelope follower device can use any audio to modulate parameters of a following device, including 3rd party...
Yes, and you can not only use it for compession but for everything.
May not be the ideal solution for Vocoding, but I'm sure we'll see some very interesting things done with that...

Zebrify is also cool for doing fx based on an envelope follower. A native envelope follower in BWS for modulation stuff is pretty neat. 8)

The thing with all such believes is, that usually the universe doesn't give a dung-beetles ball about them... ;-)
They only make you feel silly afterwards. Like the Mayan Calendar thing or such stuff.

It would be cool if BWS would come out this year, but it could just as well be next for all I know.
There are still some niggles to be fixed in the current beta, I don't know how long that will take and what other things there are planned.

I don't really expect a surprise release either.

This is no inside information though, so I could be just as wrong as anybody else.

Cheers,

Tom

There you go again Tom!

What would make YOU happy?

It's Caturday. And you sensible bods have had your fun. I still don't see a paypal link to pay for Bitwig v1.

It's game on my good man.

But how do YOU think it should play?

Any ideas?

:-)
