Sylenth1 Z3TA+

In a nutshell: Z3TA sounds more digital and cold, Sylenth sounds warmer. However, personally i like z3tas sound much more, and upgraded my z3ta+ to z3ta2 as soon as i saw this thread re. the sale. And i'm loving it! The sound has a digital and brutal sound to it. Saw synthmaster mentioned - also a great synth that i'll recommend too. I've seen the ravings about sylenth, but i've not gotten on that bandwagon. To me, versatility is a big selling point, and therefore i'm super happy with synthmaster and z3ta. Synthmaster is also on 50% sale btw, until 3dec. An absolutely ridiculous price of $50.

That's why you and i have a different opinion on this, fair enough. I don't have too much money to burn on this hobby, so i have to choose wisely, and not toy around with something that expensive.

So basically the two plugins are quite different.

And as different kinds of music require different tools: "cold" (dubstep, industrial, dnb), "warm" (edm, house, hip-hop), the best advice is to get them both I believe.

Conclusion: Pick up z3ta+ 2 now when it is so cheap, and save up for Sylenth1 8)

Agree :). And for uplifting trance and the stuff OP wanted to make, z3ta2 would work well imo.

I concur with Z3ta and Synthmaster both being essential synths that you can get both for only $100 is a blessing you should not let slip through your fingers.
