I tried to access the M-RGT website to see what was new but I could not get to it "because the server cannot be found." Does that mean M-RGT went defunct?

As M-RGT's unavailability enters its second day, I really want to know what is going on. I may have all of their synths, but I know there are people who don't and would be happy to have it. I don't think there is any synth that can replace them.

Somebody tell us what is going on. Come on, Bobbotov. You know them inside and out. You are the only one. Boris Kovalev does not have a KVR account.

And if M-RGT decides to flush itself down the drain, they should at least offer up their products for free. That applies likewise to everybody else who did not make it.

Hmm, I am as much in the dark as the rest of you. I have not talked to Boris in some months as he was in the process of changing jobs (he programs only part time). If he has disappeared it is news to me and he never indicated he was going to cease business although sales were quite low.

However, since my recent e-mails to him bounced (on two separate mail accounts) I have no other way of contacting him. I will give it a little while longer to see if he contacts me but at some point I guess I will have to close this thread as without Boris there is little point.

As to what happens to the products after that I am not sure. Without his consent or approval I am reluctant to act unilaterally out of due respect. I do not own the rights to the products I only served as co-developer, tester, demo creator and sales facilitator. They are basically his creations done with my input as a musician.

Boris is a terrific person and this is very out of character for him for the years I have known him. I hope nothing serious has happened and sincerely hope for the best outcome for everyone.

I will relay any new information if and when I receive it.

Please accept my apology for this situation but there is little I can do to resolve it if I do not hear from Boris at some point. I am quite surprised he did not give me advance notice on his intentions and like I said, it is quite out of character for him.

I've been in contact with Boris for about a year and he's always replied to mails within a day or so. So far, nothing has been returned from either of his email addresses....this is quite out of character for him. Hoping you're ok, Boris.

No news unfortunately. Clearly something has happened to Boris that has precluded him from responding to me and I fear that it is not good. I think I will have to have this section on M-RGT deleted from KVR and I once again apologize for the outcome.

Boris was a very imaginative programmer and worked very diligently to produce some fascinating experimental synths that were different than the average fair. I was fortunate to have worked with him for several years and he was such a great friend and partner. I wish I could relay some good news but alas I think this is the end. I certainly hope for the best for Boris and sincerely hope that he is okay.

I am sorry I cannot provide support for the products without Boris. He retains the rights to the software and I cannot act unilaterally without his consent. Please understand this is a difficult position to be in and is quite unexpected.

I will discuss this situation with Ben as to what to do with these threads but I cannot see any point in continuing without the programmer and product web site.

My opinion is to maybe wait a little longer before deleting this section. Also, I understand your position about not wanting to provide support without Boris, but it shouldn't mean that the community of people who were using these products can't continue to communicate. Not officially, but just as users sharing tips and tricks. Well, do what you think is best. These are great products and I will continue to use them as long as they remain viable on my computer. Thank you for all your hard work these past few years. And yeah... I hope that Boris is okay out there somewhere.

the main problem is that also the downloads are no more working and I could not find any of the installers because of a extern HD crash.

Notwithstanding the M-RGT website being taken down and his e-mails accounts being closed, I have not heard from Boris since August so I (we) may never know what happened.

In any case I will leave the threads up for the meantime.

yeah no original installers for psygen and psybox. I thought i could use the wayback machine because you can access website that way but he never put original installer on website.

I hope Bobb and everyone is OK. I purchased PsyBOX a few years ago right around the time when I had health and social problems too. After that I got homeless. I know life can be really mean and bitter sometimes. Thanks for creating a nice ambient toolset which encourages people to make peaceful, soothing music.

I hope you and all other PsyBox users have peace and success in their lives and become free of anything interrupting their progress.
