Yea, I don't understand why they've chosen to do it that way. Strikes me as stupid when considering how competetive the DAW market currently is.

I asked and suggested it for two years and there is about a full Army of older users that asked and suggested but they did not bring it up yet ! we still wait for that super Combi with 8knobs and them x/y axes mod :D

I bet we will have to spend a upgrade for that or buy it as a RE :D at the end of the day I use Reason because it's just so cool :)
8knobs? I am hoping for 32 knobs and 32 buttons :). It could just have different layers that you can hide etc. It would even be cooler if we could make our own combi they supply the parts we put it together.
yhea a combi constructor would be nice and also was asked millions of times :D not that much but yes !

they got a big task all the year long because doing what the users ,the devs and themselfs whant inside Reason make it a long list that never ends unless they take a break.

we may get Lucky with all that because they will probably go this way in the futur upgrades I guess on the side of all the rest :D

Well I hope we get lucky. I trying to build a live performance combi but i need more control. I could always use two laptops like A Guy Called Gerald.

Not sure what kind of music your into but was listen to this last night. Its amazing what this guy is doing with the toy that is Reason. Its not my type of music either but this is some good stuff.

I think he did his entire Proto Acid album in Reason too.

Well, it's my birthday, December 1st.. looks like they won't be doing the 25 days of Christmas thingy this year. Too generous?

That's because Reason is just a toy.
It is 2013 and all EQ plugins developed now should have
graphical interactive spectrum displays
.
The RE SDK should really be revamped soon...:(

Grum.
Scotty would have done a better job...:(

Yeah, I passed on Revival last night and it was gone from temptation this morning.

I did notice when I was checking out the site that their security certificate was renewed a couple of weeks ago. Props are on the ball.
Part of the reason I moved on, not going back either...the direction they are choosing to go now with barely adding anything in a update and releasing a ton of RE's for you to pay for separately plus not be able to resell them left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only that but the only way to activate the software is thru their site so if they were to go out of business, you won't be able to activate your software or rack extensions lol no thanks...they can keep that.smh

about 90% of the softwares need to be activated online the first time but some are sold also in real shops but also need online activation or registration .

there is almost no music software that aint needing a online registration Pal apart from démos and nasty cracks that instal nasty spy Tools ! :?

Well Props get a 30% cut of every RE sale, so by making them NFR they're ensuring that they don't lose money to resales.

That's why Reaper is the best...I chose my stuff wisely.

Well Kuassa are doing 25% off for vermiion and creme at the moment over at the prop shop so it could mean that the sales have started?

That's just greedy...smh it benefits no one but them. Not only that but the Rack extensions themselves are way too expensive for something you can only use with Reason and not resell, the whole thing is a lock in. They were slow in adding new features before rack extensions and but now that they've created a new revenue stream now all of a sudden they are coming out the woodworks with alot of new devices.smh

That's cool, you'd think they'd say something on twitter or have a cute lil header though?

Ah, nevermind, I see the header now ;)

Greedy? The same company that gave you pay what you want upgrade? This is funny people were complaining for the longest that they took way too long to upgrade Reason. Now they are upgrading at a faster pace this is also a problem. One thing I respect them for is that you either take their product as it is or leave it. No need to try to please everyone its not possible or even worth it. A lot of REs are priced way less than the VST counterparts. If you are one of those users that need any and every RE yes it will become expensive. So is everything else in life.

Well, I could be totally wrong and they have a perfectly legit reason for NFR, but since they never bother to explain their decisions we just have to assume the worst.

Remember...pay what you want set everyone up to "BUY" Rack extensions. It was not some selfless act from a company it was a bait and switch to get people off Reason 5 and Record to introduce rack extensions for YOU TO BUY, Echo, Pulveriser and Alligator were early Rack extensions they were testing in Reason. Keep defending this company...you will be commended..

If you think It's ok...that's fine but I don't hence the Reason I don't use the program anymore.
